why all the crying?

let's see...

austin the crybaby walks out of the show after being catered to so fuck him!

the split was a bad idea to begin with so adios split!

flair as a co-owner sucked and it got him out of that role

the matches were solid (excluding bradshaw-regal) and I have no complaints there.

booker face turn in full effect

rvd wins and advances (he'll lose to brock but at least he's being elevated)

we'll get to see wrestlers fight each other without some weak ass seperatist angle that no one wanted anyway to keep great wrestlers from fighting each other.

everything was logical excluding storylines dictated by austin

the hbk heel interview was effective in what it was intended to do

when mcmahon is on the screen non-stop then i'll bitch but this criticism is really unwarranted

and hey, there has been no mention of steph returning!

Was it just me, or did the ending set up Heyman getting control of a show?

Risk has 1337 posts. Hehehe.

Anyway, I didn't see all of RAW, but what I saw was OK. Finally, Booker gets the face turn, even if it wasn't done quite as well as it could have been. HBK was awesome as usual, and the King of the Ring matches (Guerrero/RVD in particular) were quality. However, I will be mourning Flair's loss and its repricussions for quite a while, so if you'll excuse me...

Wow.  Someone is quoting me.  Anyways, I'm starting to lose interest in watching this "entertainment."  I think I may turn in my smart mark card and find something new to obsess about.

Wow, amazing the change of perspective you get when you don't go on the Internet for the afternoon before Raw.

After missing the first 25 minutes or so, I got home and watched the rest of the show.  I thought there were several good, entertaining matches.  I found it really odd that there was absolutely no Austin all night.  I loved the nWo segment.  I was surprised by the ending with Brock Lesnar destroying Flair (I actually was expecting a retarded Arn Anderson turn when I saw him come to the ring).

Bottom line, I found Raw to be a really entertaining show without all the smark whining killing my joy.  I could get used to this...

What's Flair's status with WWE now? Is he still gonna hang around or is he done? I don't know if he's under contract or if they do a per-night deal.

We know who the shadow is on the King of the Ring poster.  Its not Goldberg, its BROCK LESNAR!  You know, cause he's the NEXT BIG THING!  5 Dollars says he DOESN'T win the KOTR though.  That would make too much sense.

why all the crying?

booker face turn in full effect

i havent watched the show yet, but i dont know whether the phrase "to full effect" is really appropriate.  from what i heard, shawn totally killed booker's heat anyway.  if they were really serious about turning the book face, they would have *him* turn on the nWo, not the nWo turn on him.  unless this leads to book going over HBK at a ppv in the near future, and we all know how likely *that* is going to be!

I expect Flair to(be forced) take time off like when he was in WCW.  This so reminds me of Bischoff trying to humiliate Flair.

Flair signed a 3 year deal in November.

And Meltzer said he expects the McMahon vs. Flair feud to be the top feud on Raw for a while.

Ohh..I cant wait to see Flair vs McMahon every week on RAW from now to eternity or Austin's return, which ever is first.

well...it looks like Brock is involved with Vince now...so maybe Brock vs. Eddy is where they'll head.

Since Eddy is Flairs guy.

Steve Austin isn't coming back.  The damn Kliq is in control again.  God have mercy of our WW(e)F souls.

This reminds me of one of those Airlines commercials, you know the ones that say "sometimes you just got to get away"  I think Austin took the advice.

As far as RAW was concerned, it was a good show considering all the stuff that was messed up due to Austin leaving.

Lines of the night for me were:

King: "Molly got back!"

JR: "He's goofier than a pet coon!" (it had a little more umph than usual)

Chris Harvard: "He's just like Harvard in the summer, no class"

JR: "Ric Flair is bleeding like a stuck hog!" (once again more umph)

I don't understand what happened with Arn Anderson at the end of the show.  He just sorta walked out on Flair after Heyman interfered... I wasn't sure if that was planned or not.  I guess if you agreed to be "urinated on" last week by someone who walked out minutes before the show this week you have good reason to be pissed (pun intended!).

I noticed the Heyman control at the end as well.  When I was watching it it flashed in my head that with Heyman as booker and possibly the storyline "owner" of Smackdown! (a reward from Vince perhaps?), Smackdown! could literally become ECW v2.0... would that be a bad thing?

What was up with the comments on Molly's ass though? Granted, I've never been into booty, but it doesn't look any different than anyone else's to me.  There certainly were trick camera angles to make it look like it was though... please don't tell me this is going to be the basis of Molly's new character or feud with Trish... please.

Did anyone else hear JR, toward the end of the main event, say something like "Vince won't be able to get out of THIS one with his huge erection!"

I couldn't tell what he really said, so I still think it was that...

my thoughts on Raw:

a double slap in the face of fans for 2 reasons

1) Austin no-shows so the fans dont get to see the Flair-servant deal payoff (i didnt care but)

2) the split "ends". i know now that they plan to keep it going, but what if youre Joe Blow and have no clue? they didnt even address it once!!

I had a problem with the logic (yeah what else is new right?) that no one would help Flair. Arn came in before he was in trouble, and then ran away. no benoit or eddy? shouldnt anybody have ran out considering Vince is "satan" the greater of two evils?

general ridiculousness:

Jeff Hardy . what the hell did he say? "alan alda eating cherry pop tarts" ????

"Bubba Tough". will sell as many t-shirts as "Booger Red"

The H on Chris Harvard's shirt. a little redundant. maybe they were worried people would think he was Mean Street Posse 2K2 w/o it or something.

the good:

the Shawn interview/Booker turn/ and the superkick..my god THE SUPERKICK!!! well worth the wait..

(what was up with the racial stuff and dust not helping? is this an amalgam re-hash of the DX spraypainting racist and the rock and sock connection breakup all over again?).

Brock and Heyman's "deal" with Vince. Hopefully this means Brock gets the super-push.

Book as well

what was Heyman's KOR idea?? hmmmmmmmmmm

I liked the show too for the most part...I really don't know what to make of all the Austin stuff...I kinda expected people to overreact to the HBK comments...and I have no clue what to make of this Vince McMahon thing. I've been saying for weeks that the man is like a cancer to WWE TV, and now he goes and books himself to be in control of both shows. It's this type of crap I hate about WWE, and I can only hope that this leads to something with Heyman being in control of Smackdown, because I honestly don't know if I can sit through Vince being on 2 shows.

Damn, JR got Jeff and Matt confused a lot tonight.

Yes I enjoyed RAW too and I am not going to let some negative internet feedback get me down. Couple of things I dont understand though.

Flair/McMahon - Yeah I am glad the split is over but wouldn't it have been easier just to do this "100 percent control" thing in the beginning without ruining the nWo angle plus WWE television? Not sure what the split was for still either.. push young talent? HA!

Austin leaving - I didnt get online before RAW started so I had no idea until this morning Austin had walked out. I am not surprised though. He probably had to job to lesner through interference from Eddie G or Beniot.

nWo - I think they are getting back on track here. HBK's explanation and reason was good and satisfying and I am glad Booker T is a face. Lets hope HBK can continue to cause controversy and make the nWo, themselves, ..... again.

Heymen/KOTR - This astounds me. What the hell could heymen's idea for KOTR be? The only thing that makes any sense is to let Lesner win KOTR but somehow I feel it goes beyond that. Very interesting indeed. Better enjoy it while it last cause next monday the WWE will probably screw it up.

Hey, wait a sec...

That segment on Raw where Michaels was supposed to say why he joined... Unless I missed something, he didn't really say why he joined...

Nash was his best friend... X-Pac the best worker... Big Show a giant... fans turned on him... defined attitude...

Unless the whole reason was to superkick The Book, I think we got shafted.

I didn't mention it when it happened because I was playing Medal of Honor, but was it me or did Vince McMahon kick the shit out of Flair with a stiff kick to the head?
