Guest Posted June 11, 2002 Report Posted June 11, 2002 I might have missed it because I was typing on the computer but did they mention Harvard Chris as being from Tough Enough because when I turned around and saw him it took a few seconds for me to figure out who he was. I couldn't imagine what the average fan at home who may not have seen Tough Enough thought... probably why the crowd was so dead Anyway, this RAW has sucked so far. I'm hoping they have a major angle near the end so that I can say that I didn't waste my time watching this

The crowd was silent until RVD started doing his high-spots, which makes sense since that's what got him over. The armbar stuff was pretty piss poor because RVD can't sell. Was I the only one who wasn't shocked that Eddy's work on RVD's arm was rendered pointless moments later? If the fans liked his spotfests, why not let him do the spotfests instead of making him change his style while killin the crowd in the process? The arm stuff was the equivalent of a headlock if you ask me. That's an example of the halfass psychology that I've been talking about. I let RVD go ahead and do his spotfest instead of kill the crowd.

There are things that haven't been the best about it (tag division) but to screw it already would be a big mistake. That being said if Vince wins tonight, it'll pave the way for Stephanie to come back and become the owner of Raw and Smackdown. My reasoning behind this is the fact that on Byte This! Vince said things need to be done, and we all know that means more McMahons. Hopefully Flair will win and we will have less McMahons but I shan't hold my breath. Also, if Austin walked out for the second time in a few months, then let him go. There may be problems but if Austin is just going to throw a fit when he doesn't get his way and leave instead of staying and trying to help out then they should just let him go.

As far as selling armbars, I can distinctly remember seeing footage of none other than Triple H selling an arm injury for the duration of a mtach with Chris Benoit. If the move isn't going to hurt the other guy, why bother making a point of putting him in it for 10 minutes?
