Guest Madmartigan21 Posted June 11, 2002 Report Posted June 11, 2002 I saw the Stu Hart biography the other day at Barnes and Noble. I only vaguely remember seeing anything about his online. I was just wondering if anyone had read it or had any interesting info on it. It is an actual biography written by a female journalist, as opposed to a ghost-written autobiography. Is it kayfabed? If it's not, does it give an honest point of view, or is it biased towards the Harts? Is it a good book period? Does anybody know?
Guest TheDames7 Posted June 11, 2002 Report Posted June 11, 2002 My ex read it and she says that it ranks up there with the best wrestler books *ahemFoleyahem* written. It doesn't sugar coat anything and is quite interesting. She's gonna lend it to me soon, so I'll be able to give you guys a real review on the site soon. Dames

Dames I thought Dynamite's Book was better then Foley's, even though Foley's was great.(Both of them)
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 i havent read foleys second book. is it better than the 1st?
Guest JMTapes Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 Foley's 2nd book was very good, almost as good as the first. The only thing I didn't like was that at the end, he started talking specifically about the PTC and the backlash against the WWF. It just didn't have anything to do with him, and I still have not finished it because of this, despite getting it 5 months ago. -Jim www.jmtapes.com
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 i havent seen it in barnes and noble or anywhere i go. Ill prob. give in and buy it from amazon. THE COUNTDOWN IS ON UNTIL MARK4STEAMBOAT HITS HIS 1000th POST. BE THERE! ITS VERY SOON!
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 The first Foley book was such an easy read, it took me about 24 hours to read it. I started reading at work a little bit after lunch time, and I finished by lunch time the next day. Damn I wish I had that job this summer.
Guest Frankie Williams Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 The first line in the Stu Hart book is: "I just made poopy in my pants"
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 14, 2002 Report Posted June 14, 2002 The first line in the Stu Hart book is: "I just made poopy in my pants" you're a fucking idiot. show some respect.
Guest Frankie Williams Posted June 15, 2002 Report Posted June 15, 2002 show some respect. Im sorry. Your right. The real first line of the book is" "Please, someone kill me already!"
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 15, 2002 Report Posted June 15, 2002 you forgot to quote the "you're a fucking idiot" part which was the most important I must say. anyway, seriously, we can do without that kind of stuff so please try to be a little more respectful to a legend like stu hart. he doesn't deserve to have comments like that made about him.
Guest Frankie Williams Posted June 15, 2002 Report Posted June 15, 2002 Ok. I apologize. Im really a nice guy once you get to know me.
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted June 15, 2002 Report Posted June 15, 2002 I'm sure you are and im sure Stu Hart is too so if you dont like getting picked on and whatnot, then dont pick on someone else. Its as simple as that.
Guest AM The Kid Posted June 20, 2002 Report Posted June 20, 2002 I read it, it ranks up there in the best books all around I've ever read. Good descriptions, shows what Stu has gone through to get where he is. Mr. Hart has had a very interesting life, I really recomend the book.
