Guest evenflowDDT Posted June 11, 2002 Report Posted June 11, 2002 It's "No Holds Barred" so nobody should care, right? Or is this one of those weird English/Canadian spelling things, like color with a "u"?
Guest Posted June 11, 2002 Report Posted June 11, 2002 I'm actually partial to the non-American insertion of u into Behaviour, Colour, and so on. Spelling is, however, an integral tool in conveying one's thoughts and emotions in this day and age of written records and communications.
Guest Posted June 11, 2002 Report Posted June 11, 2002 Lol, nuff said, eh Mario? I will now address the matter in CWM terms... cobin, ur a reely badd speeler and i tink u shuld get classees for ur problam This has bin the Tiker Mirk®
Guest Risk Posted June 11, 2002 Report Posted June 11, 2002 Kind of off-topic: It's "feud" not "fued"!
Guest goodhelmet Posted June 11, 2002 Report Posted June 11, 2002 goodhelmet's spelling lesson for today.... the difference between you're and your you're is a contraction of you are. your is a possessive form of you or used as a modifier before a noun. best way to prevent this problem: spell out you are instead of typing you're
Guest RetroRob215 Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 I also think Canadians use "u" in too many words. "Favourite" always bothered me.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 oops. I was nevr god at speling. sory!
Guest treble charged Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 "Favorite" always looks wrong to me. That's why I like to stick with "favourite".
Guest goodhelmet Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 2nd lesson of today feud and fuel in feud, the e is before the u in fuel, the u is before the e
Guest goodhelmet Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 I know this is a double post but who gives a shit. This is for everyone's benefit... The diffence between its and it's it's is a contraction of it is or it has its is the possessive form of it and does not have an apostrophe. best way to prevent this: write out it is or it has
Guest What?! Posted June 12, 2002 Report Posted June 12, 2002 I've become Americanized and just said "Get the U Out".
Guest evenflowDDT Posted June 13, 2002 Report Posted June 13, 2002 This is a V and W conversation, so U get the hell out! OK, so maybe it doesn't work as well as "this is an A and B conversation, so C your way out!", but you get the idea... damn... I need to post a lot, I'll be gone for a week soon and I've already almost lost my 16 posts a day average over this week because of graduation stuff
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted June 13, 2002 Report Posted June 13, 2002 I got a D in spelling back in 6th grade, so I have no reason to be arguing about some other persons lack of spelling proficiency.
