I'm more than likely going to end up paying the 6.95 a month to make pics linkable off of it and such, but for now this is good.

I have a server that I can use for free to put the pics up.  Just email them to me.  I also have a server to host the site, so don't spend any money on that either.  So, unless you need to have pics linkable for another reason, don't waste your $$.

 

As for the pics, I like the first one the best.  I don't know though...I pictured something a bit more evil looking.  Maybe a darker red?  Or have the overlay be something more angry or evil...as opposed to the star.  I'm not sure...just some ideas.

Huh... well i was planning on making a web portfolio at some point, but yeah, I wasn't going to actually host the site there, I just wanted to put something quick up to save the spot

 

yeah, these are very preliminary, Ash has some ideas he's sending and I'm going to work on my own ideas as well.

 

Thugg, if I sent you board avatars, could you host those too? they're all going to be <5kb

I think the bottom one would work with pretty much any shade of red and black. As that makes it look, as Thugg said, just a wee bit more evil.

Yeah, I'm on this quest to get IGN to upload anime icons that are sexy yet not slutty. With Ranmachan. And possibly Nabiki and Kodachi too. Plus I need to make Andrew W.K. Icons. I'll send one to Edwin regardless as I'm sure he'd like them

 

Ash, yeah send me the scans when you can, I'll work on that last one, try to make it more evil, maybe add a bit of flamage, i dunno, I was just screwing around when I made them

The color scheme I'm working with is either blue-black or red-black.  Yeah Stubby, see what you can do too.

 

Also, there's no real need for anyone to make an SJL logo, as they are now going to be the same site, and will only have one banner.  The SWF banner is all that we'll need based on the way I'm setting it up.

 

Also, please don't hound me about it (not that too many people have).  I have 2 jobs and school, so I am extremely busy.  I'm going to be using all my free time to work on this, which may only be a couple minutes some nights.  So, for the love of god, don't hound me about it.  It'll be up when it gets up, and that shouldn't be a problem since we've been dealing without it for all this time.

yeah, like thugg said, blue/red-black tends to be the prevalent theme, i was actually trying to get some type of flame effect going but misread some labels when I created those. oh well...

Well, keep at it Annie.  We've got some time, so take what you need.  I haven't even started the template yet.  I'm learning the ins and outs of the backend that I'll be using for the front page.  It's new and it's called moveable type...and it's freaking awsome!  The point is, that I'm working on mastering that on my own site, and then I'll be working on the template for our site....probably by next week....although don't hold me to that.

that whole blog was created with moveable type ( i built the templates).  there's still some bugs in the template as i try to work around and get rid of all the <div> and <span> tags...but on there is a link to moveable type that tells all.  It's really cool, and really simple.

 

I'm planning on using this for the homepage (sort of like a blog) and using PhP for the backend of the rest of the site.
