Guest Brian Report post Posted June 11, 2002 The DVDVR board brought the content, so I'm posting it here since Phil forgets to post these things. What Worked -I liked the X-Pac and Spike Dudley exchanges in the six-man tag, the rest was pretty useless -Regal was really laying it into Bradshaw as Bradshaw will take some stiff shots. However Justin if you are willing to receieve as well dish it out, then you can’t argue it is just a power thing. -Eddie and RVD bring some actual matwork, which was pretty weird to see. I dug this match a ton, as Eddie has really gotten the hang of carrying RVD. The Fujiwara armbar section was pretty sweet and Eddie takes a monkey flip better then anyone in the business. 10 minute Eddie Guerrero matcher every week will get me to forgive a lot of sins. -I actually enjoyed the Bubba match as it was the best match Chase has had since his UPW singles against Horshu. I hate the goofy internet complaining about Lesner selling for Bubba. Selling is what makes a good wrestler, selling is the difference between being Vader and being Sid. Vader could sell for Lizmark and still be a credible monster, no reason Lesner can’t sell for a 300 pound guy. No-selling roid guys suck. -Matt Hardy’s punches looked great, and I enjoyed the segment although it smacked of Spike Dudley laying out Mike Awesome. -Flair amuses me as he works Vince the same way he worked Vader, eating alot of potato shots to make Vince look dangerous. The Arn taunting was really cool. The ending was shit, but I enjoyed the match. What Didn’t Work -Molly has a nice ass, there is nothing wrong with a girl with some padding back there. A girl needs a buffer to take my punishment, I don’t want some fake boobed skank brusing her tailbone when she takes every inch of my Hebrew Hammer. That match wasn’t very good either. I watched Lawler v. Dundee this week (On Schneider Comp #20 BTW ) so Lawler has some goodwill with me, but he was using that up quick. -Nice superkick. But hell is Ole shadow booking or something, what the fuck is with the Micheals hates colored folk gimmick. Is Nash working a self hating black man gimmick now? Is he Major Waters in A Soldier Story?
