Sting torments an already troubled Abyss, gives away his biggest secret on TV (because Abyss wouldn't let Sting force his beliefs onto him) and then after beating him attacks his father figure of a manger. Good guy.

Christy Hemme gets her shirt ripped off and is clearly embarrassed and everyone (including West and Tenay) laugh and make perverted comments as she walks away, probably to attempt to kill herself or something. All while Kip James plays to the crowd, who are loving the sexual abuse.

What a good moral upstanding show TNA has become.

I hear you loud and clear. Im a hetero, white male of 18 so I should be loving this, right? Sorry, I just dont find a women being booked to be abused at gawked by a bunch of hicks all that amusing.

Frankly, I don't condone any of the shit they've done with women in wrestling since the Attitude era. I mean, if there was some actual joshi style wrestling going on, then cool. But otherwise, move along, please.

That said, I find it hard to swallow the fact that Hemme is supposed to be all embarassed and offended that she had her shirt tore off to reveal... stuff that she normally runs around in on the show anyway. Seriously.

Also, Kip James is another thing I could use less of in my wrestling programming.

The last three matches saved the show from being one of the worst TNA monthly ppvs ever, IMO. Lynn/Sabin - context of the match was good, but that finish just was extremely annoying, seeing that we see that once a week, if not more, on WWE/ECW shows.

Sting/Abyss was a fun and pretty wild match that actually worked for me. I figured the gimmick was going to be too over the top to work, but bringing in the unexpected barbed wire spots and such added to it, and it started out strong with the brawling OUTSIDE the arena in a makeshift setup out there. Thought it was both Sting's best work I've seen in TNA so far, and one match that kept Abyss strong too.

ME was pretty boring to sit through, at least for the first 10 or so minutes, as it was nothing that was neither better or worse than their previous WWE matches, but that "style" they used to work over there was still prevalent here and it just seemed like the same shit different day as I imagined when hearing about these two working a match again after their unimpressive exchanges in WWE. That said, it did pick up alot more as the match passed 10 minutes, and it was alright. Although the way this was booked, in a way I just envisioned Jarrett in Christian's position in how the match was worked, as the structure seemed way too similar with a few ref bumps and couple run ins as many Jarrett title matches ended up being. But I'm probably just being too critical. It was good when all was said and done.

Joe/Christian and Steiner/Angle w/ whatever this new X division match is for the next ppv sounds alright on paper. Probably another Styles/Rhino match too.

I "like" how Christy Hemme's issue is that the women aren't used on the shows, and they don't get to wrestle, and on the very same show that she's really shouting out her issue, there are two other women in another match on the card, and she's stuck "wrestling" the fat oily guy.

They really have to make faces and heels. Every character in the company is an asshole. It's realistic, but doesn't work when the product is supposed to be a medium for story telling. There is something wrong with the company when the only exciting thing on the show is a table spot.

Just finishing watching the UK airing of the show, and its been very much a "meh" ppv overall. Nothing great, nothing terrible.

As many have noted, the first hour was bloody awful, the Hemme stuff (although she looked great) was really uneeded. What makes me laugh is that they were mocking the WWE for doing this shit like 2 months ago. Now my only theory behind the match was that they booked her into that sort of match in an ironic sence. In that, "thats all woment can do in this industry". But that can't be right, cause lets face it, it's Russo. [/russo hate]

Ill admit, i enjoyed Chris Harris' return, thought it was great. The eyepatch was a bit too much but i can see why it's there.

The x division stuff was ok, i enjoyed the Lynn/Sabin match cause im a mark for both wrestlers. The Papparazi stuff went on for a bit too long but was worth it for, "if you slap i will chokeslam you i swear to god".

Im guessing Christian Cage is no longer Captain Charisma, and is now The Instant Classic.

Sting/Abyss was better than i thought it was going to be. But lord i hope this doesnt end with an Abyss face turn on Mitchell. Abyss needs Mitchell.

The Christian/Angle match is really good so far, im enjoying it. Christian's Steiner moves were class.

But whats made me laugh the most was Samoa Joe coming down to the ring wearing a TWC Fight hat. It's funny because TNA is no longer shown on TWC Fight. Well it made me chuckle.

But overall, meh.

It was actually a Fight Network hat. Although the two logos do look very similar.

As for the PPV, I thought it sucked. I just didn't really care about any of what was going on. It was just a massive reminder of how badly Russo is booking the promotion. Sadly, TNA seem very pleased with the ratings they've been getting recently so it looks like he'll be around for a while longer.

Well if there is one thing I can say for Russo it's that I've never found his booking boring. Offensive at times, nonsensical, detrimental to the business....but never boring.

I think it is hilarious that Christian has been in TNA all this time and is still undefeated. Unless you consider the KOTM match a loss, I dunno. At times Christian has been amusing on the mic during his career, but he's never been a standout singles worker. I have enjoyed a couple of his matches in TNA that involved gimmicks, like the Rhino cage match or the Abyss cage match. But his normal matches are usually just "eh."

Your second clip leaves an opening for such a great pun, but I'll let it go.

Kip is useless, they just fight useless battles and declare victory. At least Shristy actually acknowledges the problem on TV.

Still, there's running around willingly then there's being mocked in the ring. Not the same...Same type of logic when Divas cover their bras and panties to make themselves look more nude, but I see your point.

Not that I think the TNA win/loss record thread is 100% accurate or not (I wouldn't know), but according to the records, Christian has a loss.

edit: 1 in 2007, 7 in 2006, for a total of 8 losses.

However, none of those losses have had him pinned or made to submit.

IIRC, his 1 loss this year was a tag loss, and his partner AJ Styles was pinned.
