Guest Tzar Lysergic Report post Posted March 30, 2007 Why don't you just learn to play the mellotron and get it over with?
Giuseppe Zangara 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2007 Save for a couple of spots, the mellotron on Lizard isn't as intrusive as it is on the first two albums. Speaking of which, I was listening to this in my office today, when someone stopped by to talk to me right when this real mellotron-heavy part hit of whatever song (I can't recall which one) was playing. I was embarrassed.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Report post Posted March 30, 2007 I was referring to Islands. I haven't listened to it in forever, but I remember the mellotron being laid on awfully thick.
Giuseppe Zangara 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2007 It isn't, really, especially compared to the first two KC albums. Anyway, Islands is dull. Best track is "Sailor's Tale," which works because it features some deliciously nasty guitar from Fripp. However, that's countered by some surprisingly awful sax-work from the usually reliable Mel Collins. Giuseppe Zangara 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2007 That isn't loading for me. By the way, my mother called me earlier today to tell me I shouldn't visit youtube, as she heard they've been having virus problems. Yes, she called me for no reason other than to tell me that.
