Downhome Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 Over the past few days I've been going through one of my "search for recent unknown films" moods, and one of the new movies that I've discovered is this little gem. Have any of you guys watched this one yet? Here is some information on it: http://www.specialthemovie.co.uk/ http://www.specialthemovie.com/ IMDB RottenTomatoes A lonely metermaid has a psychotic reaction to his medication and becomes convinced he's a superhero. A very select group of people in life are truly gifted. Special is a movie about everyone else. I'm not going to go crazy here with a huge post about the movie. I just wanted to mention it, and say that I highly, highly recommend it. If you can find a way to watch it, you really should. The R2 DVD just came out last week, and it might be in some random theaters in the US, but I'm not sure about that. You can also download it if you know where to look, and I'm sure all of you know about that. It's a very short movie, just 77 minutes long, but it's great. I would say it's "special", but that might be a bit too cliche. Michael Rapaport is very impressive in the film, and the story really has a lot to say by the time it's over.
