Guest franchise632 Report post Posted June 14, 2002 Well after the first day, suprise suprise Tiger Woods is in the lead by a stroke. Second round play has started today, and Tiger has gotten to as low as 6 under par. He currently sits at -5. The weather is getting wet which will make the Open longest ever host even longer. Anyone have any thoughts on the Tournament? Predictions? Opinions? Can anyone stay with Tiger? If Tiger can win this event do you think he will win the grand slam? Do you want to see Tiger win the slam. Of course this would be opposed to the TigerSlam he already has. I think he is determined to show everyone who refused to properly acknowledge his feat of winning four majors in a row.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted June 16, 2002 It's over, none of these hacks have shown they can beat Woods. Saturday was just too easy for a U.S. Open. Hopefully they put the pins in tough spots so 70 is considered a good score. Friday was great, seeing all these whiny jerks cry about how tough the course was. That is why the U.S. Open is such a great tournament, it's an actual challenge, not played on some course where the winner is -20. Woods could easily win the Grand Slam. I'd like to see it happen, the PGA is played up here in Minnesota and it would be cool if he could win the Grand Slam here.
