Guest AnnieEclectic Report post Posted June 14, 2002 I seriously... just can't write anymore. I get past the introductions, the commentary... I even stretch it out as far as possible, to where only about 2000 of my words in say a 5000 word match are actually spots. I can't write spots. I've had writer's block for the last few months, going back and cannibalizing my own JL matches to try and get by, and I really can't do it anymore. I'm really sorry to Durandal, who I was going to feud with and set up a great angle. I'm sorry to Thoth, Strangler, and yes, even Jay Dawg, who would talk to me in IMs PMs and in chat trying to help me out and get my brain working. It just didn't work. I used to love writing matches, but then I got burnt out when I got the JL World title. Now, I honestly dread actually sitting down to write. I don't have the will. I'm not going away by any means, but for right now, Annie E and her sister Allison are retiring. I'll still be a chat mainstay, and a semi-regular board mainstay as usual. I'll probably end up reading more cards tho, lol. And, as usual, notice the subtitle says 'for a while' because once I leave something, I eventually get the itch and urge again and come back. I've just exhausted all my ideas. Strangler said a long time ago, when it's not fun anymore, leave. I probably should have listened instead of being pig-headed and saying my muse would come back. It didn't, but that's because I've been forcing it. I'm going to let it come back naturally. I can mark if need be for anyone, just let me know. I'm still working for the SWF site too. It's been a trip for Annie, but she's tired. Sorry guys, it's been a hard decision, but I had to. -Allison Saotome
Guest Insanityman Report post Posted June 14, 2002 Well, since your going to be hanging out not much of a good bye. But, hey, sucks to hear you can't write for a bit... trust me one day you'll be sucked back in. . The JL (WF) seems to be described best by the IRA saying, "Once in, never out." Guest AnnieEclectic Report post Posted June 14, 2002 Yeah... I really do see Annie coming back, but with all this added to workload: Work bumping me from 19 to 36 hours a weed Gotta get Java 2 certified so I can make $45,000 a year come September Gotta find a new apartment before October Gotta make a graphics portfolio for my resume Gotta lose about 15-20 pounds using Thoth's patented DDR regime, heh... i'm just burnt out. I've been pushing myself to do everything, and forcing myself to write, and it just wasn't coming. I saw the writing on the wall. I'll be back in writing capacity soon, no worries. Augh, guess I have to promo out too.... I'll do it after the match. Good luck Durandal and Ash! -Annie
