WWF WrestleMania VI:Announcers,Gorrilla Monsoon and Jesse Ventrua.April 1,1990. From:SkyDome,Toronto,Onatario,Canada

-This was the first WWF WrestleMania that took place outside of the United States.

 

-Robert Gualle(or howerver you spell his name)sings the Canadian National Anthem.

 

-Opening Match:Koko B.Ware Vs."The Model"Rick Martel:Martel starts with a chaep shot and he keeps the momementum on until Koko catches him with a crossbody,two standing drop kicks,a back body drop and Mertel is out of there.Martel comes back in and he sends Koko to the outside.Koko back in,but Martel is still pounding Koko and he hits with a supeplex and he is keeping the pressure on Koko.Martel is trying to get the Boston Crab on Koko but he gets to the rope and KOko is fighting back.Koko with two flying head butts and he gets a two count.Koko misses a splash from the middle rope and Martel with the Boston Crab and it's over.That was pretty much nothing,*.

 

-Gene Okerlund with the Colossal Connection.Gene starts to stumble.

 

-Shawn Mooney with Demolition,who are ready for a Demolition Derby!!!

 

-WWF Tag Team Title Match:Colossal Connection(Champoions)Vs.Demolition(Challengers):Andre and Haku begin to clean house right away but Ax and Smash come back.Smash and Haku are in there and Ax is tagged in and he begins pounding on Haku,Smash is back in.Smash with a pin,but Andre comes in and intereferes. Haku with a chop to Ax's throat.A backbreak by Haku and he is contuining to keep the pressure on Ax and Ax is getting beat up by three people now and one of them ib Bobby Heenan.Haku is keeping the pressure on Ax.Ax was trying to fight back,but he wasn't getting anywhere with that.Haku is dominating Ax and there is nothing he can do about it.Andre has not been tagged in at all yet.Ax with a bot and then a clothesline.Ax tags in Smash and he is going wild.Some great double teaming being done by Demolition.Andre is holding Smash but Haku hits Andre by accident and Andre is stuck in the ropes.Demolition hits with there finisher and they the three conut and tehy are once again the WWF Tag Team Champions!!!Not bad,**1/4.After the match Heenan yells at Andre and he slaps Andre and Andre comes back and he slaps and punches Heenan. Haku comes and he tries to kick Andre but he misses and Adnre is pounding on Haku.Andrew throws them both off the wrestling ring cart and Andre leaves alone on the wrestling ring cart and the crowd is going crazy for Andre!!!

 

-Gene Okerlund with Earthquake and Jimmy Hart

 

-Hercules Vs.Earthquake:Jimmy Hart wants someone to take the chain away from Hercules.Earthquakes quick attack doesen't work and Hercules has the advantage already.A test of strength and Earthquake takes the momentum and he is pounding on Hercules.Hercules comes back and he is try to get Earthquake down.Hecules goes for the backbreaker but it back fires on him and Hercules is down and I can feel the trimmers and Earthquake hits with the Big Splash and it's over,DUD.Earthquake hits with the aftershocks after the match!!!

 

-Rohna Barrett with Miss Elizabeth.

 

-Shawn Mooney with Brutus Beefcake.

 

-Mr.Perfect Vs.Brutus Beefcake:The Genius introduces Mr.Perfect!!!They begin and they are going back and forth,but Brutus takes the momentum and he nails Perfect and he out of there and anatomic drop by Brutus and again Perfect is out of there.They lock up and Perfect in now pounding on Brutus.Brutus comes back and he now has the momentum.Mr.Perfect with the bump of the night and Brutus gives the sign for the Sleeper Hold.The Genuis gives Perfect the scrol and Perfect nails Brutus with it.Perfect is now just pounding on Brutus and Perfect gets a long two count.Gorrilla and Jesse have an argument over 360 degrees and 180 degrees.Perfect is contunuing to keep the momentum on.Pefect is trash talking and pouning away on Brutus. Brutus catches Perfect with a slnigshot and Perfect hits the post and Brutus gets the three count.Not bad,**. After the match Bruts catches The Genius and he brings him back in there and gives him a sleep hold and he gives The Genius another haircut.

 

-They show a Bad News Brown/Rowdy Piper video package.

 

-Gene Okerlund with Rowdy Piper who painted half his body black.

 

-Rowdy Piper Vs.Bad News Brown:Rowdy Piper is dancing in weird way and has painted half is body black so I take 2/3rds of the crowd is affended already by Piper.Piper almost got a really quick three count.It is a brawl and they are just pounding on each other.Bad News Brown is now just destroying Rowdy.Bad News had Piper in a head lock but Piper is coming back,but not for long.Bad New is just destroying Rowdy.A poke in the eye by Piper and he is beating on Bad News but Bad News comes back.Bad News took of the turnbuckle pad but it back fired on him.Piper is now wearing a Michael Jackson glove so now everyone in the crowd is affended.Piper and Bad News are going at it on the outside and it's a double countout.They fight to the back while tons of referees try to stop them.1/4*.

 

-Steve Allen with the Bolsheviks in a shower with a piano who play a bunch of songs including the Polish National Anthemn and he is about to play the Russian National Anthemn but someone flushes the toilet and the Bolsheviks got very mad.An extremely funny moment.

 

-Hart Foundation Vs.Bolsheviks:The Hart attacks the Bolsheviks while the Bolshevicks are singing the Soviet National Anthemn and the Hart with the Hart Attack and they get the quick three count.DUD.

 

-The Barbarian(w/Bobby Heean)Vs.Tito Santana:Mean Gene with Tito Santna for some pre match comments..Right off the bat Jesse start making Chico comments.They lock up and Tito with pucnhes and he has the momentum going until The Barbarian comes back with a couple of kicks,but Tito with a high crossbody and he gets a two count.Tito Santana is really taking control of the match until The Barbarian comes back with a boot.A shoulderbreaker by The Barbarian wbut he misses a forearm from the middle rope.Tito has a comeback and he hits The Barbairan with the Flying Forearm but Heenan puts The Barbarian's foot on the rope,The Barbarian gets the mometum back and he hits with a clothesline from the top rope and he gets the three count.Decent Match,*.

 

-A Dusty/Sapphire Vs.Savage/Sherri video package.

 

-Shawn Mooney with Dusty Rhodes and Sapphire talking about the "Crown Jewel."Mooney looks confused, what else is new.

 

-Mixed Tag Team Match:"The Macho King"Randy Savage:Jesse is making fat jokes already,too funny.Of course I'm getting all into the song,"American Dream."Jesse Ventura conturing with the fat jokes.Dust introduces the "Crown Jewel"who is.............Miss Elizabeth!!!We start with Dusty and Randy Savage and Dusty is on a role,and the place is going crazy and Sapphire and Sherri are in.Shapphire with a hip bump on Sherrifollowed by a hurricane spin.Sapphire tags in Dusty and he keeping the momentum on Savage.The fat joke are continuing and it is really funny.Savage now has the momentum over Dusty.Savage and Sherri are just pounding on Dusty and Savage toesses Sapphire and Savage is contuing the beating on Dusty.A supepplex and a two count by Savage.Savage hits Rhodes the cepter and Sherri is in there and she gets a two count on Dusty/Dusty is coming back and Sapphire and Sherri are in there.Sapphire is pounding on Sherri and all four of them are in and Sapphire roles up Sherri and she gets the three count.Dusty,Sapphire and Elizabeth celebrate after the match.1/2*,just for Jesse's commentary.

 

-Gene Okerlund with Bobby Heenan and they say balls.Actually balls,but Heenan stopped himself.Heenan is going crazy!!!

 

-Jesse adn Gorrilla with Rohna Barret who claims Jesse was in a "Dirty"move.

 

-Shawn Mooney with Randy Savage and Sherri who are going crazy.

 

-Gene Okerlund with the WWF Champion Hulk Hogan who claims everyone is a Hulkamaniac and then he starts talking about being the Warrior's savior.Just a really weird interview.

 

-The Ultimate Warrio with Shawn Mooney,actually the Warrior throws Mooney(I mean he litterally tosses him).The Warrior's interciew is even more strange than the one Hogan gave.Alright now I'm really afraid because the Warrior is crazy and he will bring the Hulkamaic's and the Warrior's together to save the world.Strange people.

 

-The Orient Express(w/Mr.Fuji)Vs.The Rockers:Jannetty and Tanka are in there to begin and they are going back and forth.The Rockers have the momentum early with his risk manuevers.The Orient Express come back and even Mr.Fuji is getting on the action.The Orient Express had the momentum until the Rockers hit with a double kick.Saka and Michaels are in and Shawn had the momentum until Tanaka caught him with a kick.The Orient Express are dominating The Rockers.Amazing double teamsby The Orient Express but The Rockers are coming back and Jannetty gets  two count.Fuji hits Jannetty in the leg with the cane and salot to the eyes of Jannetty and he has been counted out.The Orient Express win by countout.Alright match butlike the one they would later have at WWF Royal Rumble 1991.3/4*.

 

-Steve Allen with Rythmn and Blues.Again,Steve Allen with more comedy.

 

-Dino(w/Jimmy Hart & Earthquake)Vs.Jim Duggan:They lock up and Duggan with a clothesline and anothe clothesline and Dino is out of there.An atomic drop by Duggan followed by punches but Duggan misses Dino in the corner and now Dino has the momentum.Earthquake nails Duggan when the referees back is turned. Duggan was start to fight back but Dino back but Dino gets caught with a boot.Eartquake grabs Duggan's foot, Jimmy hart throws the 2X4 to Dino but Duggan gets it,nails Dino and he gets the three count.Eartquake pounds on Duggan afte the match and hits him with three Big Splashes.

 

-Jakes Robers/Ted Dibiase video package.

 

-(WWF)Million Title Match:Ted Dibiase(w/Virgil)(Champion)Vs.Jake Robers(Challenger):Gene Okerlund with Jakes before the match for some pre match comments.There is a storyline in in this one which I don't feel like getting into right now.They lock up and Jake is working on Dibiase to begin and Jake almost hits with the DDT early in the match.They are just going back and forth.Jake is now pounding on Dibiase and he is working on the his Subskepular or his back.Jake with a leverage move and Dibiase out of there.Dibiase comes back and he now has the momentum.Dibiase is poudning on Jake and the crowd is doing the wave SkyDome.The wave is almost more entertaining than this match.Dibiase with a piledriver but Jake reverses a pin and he gets a two count.Dibiase with the Million Dollar Dream,Dibiase with two pins but both times Jake put his foot on the rope. Jake is fighting back and he hits with a back body drop and Jake with a short clothesline,Virgil pulls Jake to the outside.Dibiase is on the outside outside,Dibiase gets back in and Jake doesen't before the ten count therefore Dibiase gets his belt back.Jake comes back in with a short clothesline and Jake hits Dibiase with the DDT.That was pretty much nothing,1/4*.After the match Jake gives his money away to fans and Mary Tyler Moore and Jake stuff a 100 dollar bill down Dibiase's mouth and Jake pulls out Damien,but Virgil comes back to get Dibiase.Dibiase never leaves this becomes important later on.

 

-Shawn Mooney with Akeem and Slick.

 

-Gene Okerlund with the Big Bossman who calls Akeem a trouble reject from Africa.

 

-Akeem(w/Slick)Vs.Big Bossman:Of course Slick dances a little,before the match begins Dibiase sneaks up on the Bossman and nails him.Told you that would become important.Dibiase is pounding on the Bossman.Akeem is now pounding on the Bossman.Akeem is working on the Bossman but the Bossman is fighting back and he sent Akeem from turnbuckle to turnbuckle.Bossman with the slam and he gets the three count.DUD.Bossman beats up on the Slickster after the match.

 

-Shawn Mooney in the with the fans who pretty much all dislike Rythmn & Blues.Mooney then talks witgh Mary Tyler Moore who has no clue about anything to do with wrestling or Rythmn & Blues and Mooney is ask her tons of questions.

 

-Rythmn & Blues with Jimmy Hart and the Honkets in a Pink Cadillac.The Cadillac is being driven by Diamond Dalls Page,no joke.Rythmn & Blues sing Honky Honky Honky Love until the Bushwhackers(Who are dressed as venders)go into the ring and destroy Rythmn & Blues guitars.

 

-The Fink announces that this is largest attendance in SkyDome histroy with 67,678 in attendance!!!

 

-Rick Rude(w/Bobby Heenan)Vs.Jimmy Snuka:Steve Allen joins Jesse and Gorrilla for commentary and he does another hilarious comedy act.Rude attacks Snuka right away and Rude misses the dropkick and Snuka is on a role and he is taunting Rick Rude.Rude gets drop kicked out and over the rop rope.Rude back in and he hits with a short supeplex.Rude is now dominating Snuka.Snuka is fighting back and he is going up top but he goes over Rude but he keep the momentum on.Snuka misses the splash from the top rope,the Rude Awakening and Rude gets the three count.DUD.

 

-Hogan/Warrior video package.

 

-Main Event:WWF World Title/Intercontinetal Title Match:The Ultimate Warrior(WWF Intercontintnetal Champion)Vs.Hulk Hogan(WWF World Champion):This match Title For Title.Warrior pushes Hogan,Hogan pushes Warrior.They lock up Hogan to to the corner,they lock up again and Warrior to the corner.Warrior and Hogan hook up to a Greco Roman Knuckelock and they are gonig back and forth.Warrior has the advantage and Hogan has fall to his knees.Hogan is fighting back and the Warrior going down.The fans ast SkyDome are going crazy and this is just the biginning and Warrior is fight back but Hogan takes him down and he gets a two count, a criss cross(apple sauce)and again and the first time Hogan with a slam and the second time Warrior with a slam.Warrior clotheslines him out of there and Hogan hurt his knee.Warrior is going out and working on Hogan's knee.The Warrior thorws Hogan back in the ring and Hogan with a thumb to the eyes and warrior nails Hogan,Hogan nails Warrior and again and another punch by Hogan.Hogan with with ten punches.A bodyslam by Hogan and two eblows by Hogan.A small package by Hogan and he gets a two count.Hogan is pounding on the Warrior and a clothes by Hogan and he gets a two count.A backbreaker by Hogan and another two count,a reverse chin lock by Hogan.Warrior is trying to grab Hogan's hair,Hogan is pounding on Warrior's back followed bu a supeplex,but he only gets a two count,back to the reverse chinlock.Warrior is fithing back and a double clothesline and both men are down.Warrior sat up first and then Hogan sat up and Hogan is pounding Warrior but Warrior is fighting back and the Warrior is on fire with clotheslines.Warrior with a suepplex and two count.A bearhug by the Warrior.The Warrior is really working on Hogan but Hogan's arm doesen't drop the third time and he is fighting back and the referee got hit by accident and now the Warrior is working on Hogan and Warrior misses the shoulder slam and Hogan has Warrior pinned but the ref is knocked out,Warrior with a supeplex,the ref is back up and Warrior only got a two count.Hogan with a role up and a two count.Hogan elbows Warrior and Warrior goes over the top rope,Hogan is out there and now they are both back in,a clothesline by the Warrior and the Warrior the Gorrilla Press slam,but Hogan kicks out at two and Hogan Hulksup.Hogan with three pucnes, Big Boot,but he misses the Leg Drop,Warrior with the splash,he gets the three count and Warrior wins!!!Hogan goes out to grab the WWF Title and Hogan comes in and gives the WWF Title to Warrior and they do the face hug and Warrior celebrates as the new WWF Champion!!!A very good match,****1/4.

 

Bottom Line:Some people think that this PPV is good and some people think it's bad,but I thought it was really good.

Good job, 2 corrections.

 

1. Like someone else said before, it's Sean, not Shawn, Mooney.

 

2. Only use "and" once in a sentence unless there is a special case like...I drew a picture *and* made a list, which included pens, pencils *and* paint....That is the only time you should use "and" twice in a sentence.

Very good tape rant. Just a few spelling errors though.

1. Robert Goulet's last name is spelt Goulet not Gualle.

2.It's "cheap" not "chaep"

3.It's "champions" not "champoions"

4.It's "and" not "adn"

5.Gorilla Monsoon's first name is spelt Gorilla not Gorrilla

6.It's "history" not "histroy"

The good thing is that you don't make as many spelling errors as NWOScorpion does in his tape rants. I'm not criticizing you. I'm only pointing out spelling errors. By the way RetroRob, it was me who told Drury that Sean Mooney's first name is spelt Sean not Shawn. I think both RetroRob and Drury do better tape rants than Scott Keith.

Why is everyone criticizing MY spelling when I flat out say "I rarely spell check and usually type as I look at the television." plus I EVEN say I don't know how to spell certain words.

 

And who the hell even ARGUED over spelling?! I made one simple comment. "Must you start a sentence next to the lasts period"? I never complain about spelling cause EVERYONE makes typing errors.

How is saying that you don't use spell check suppose to make it any better?  What you're saying is that you are aware that your rants are filled with errors, yet you don't think you need to go and fix them, and still somehow expect people to read them.  That's just ignorant.  I mean, it takes a few minutes to go through the spell check process, so why not do it if you are expecting people to read it.  I don't know about other people, but if I see a grammtical nightmare of a rant, I just click the back button to save myself from the guarenteed headace that I'll be giving myself if I try to read it.  You aren't going to get very far if you don't start making your rants look a little more professional.

Cmon no one is perfect. Small grammatical errors should be overlooked and the actual writing should be criticized or whatnot. Nwoscorpion is a fine reviewer and i dont see spelling errors in his(i dont particularly look for them either)
