Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted June 14, 2002 I was talking to a couple of HHH marks since yesterday, and they both said that the booking was shitty yesterday in a sense that HHH should have gotten his ass kicked, and lose by pinfall rather than DQ. It makes the champ and former champ look like shit, and if HHH-marks are starting to say this, can this be the finalization of a backlash against HHH by the casual fans? Just a thought
Guest Report post Posted June 14, 2002 Eh... I'm just waiting for the heel turn.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 14, 2002 Hey, a heel, not world champ, healthy, 2000 workrate HHH would only be the Antichrist rather than Satan himself.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 14, 2002 ok, he's not the champ, healthy, and starting to work his ass off. he is the exact same character that he was in 2000, the only difference is that he is a face now, because Stephanie is no longer with him. so does he need stephanie with him for you to cheer him or what? Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted June 14, 2002 i think its as simple as this Faces get over by talking Heels get over by their doings and HHH wrestles the same match as he did as a heel, so therefore, he remains an un-over face the only people that can get over as Faces with actions, are wrestlers with more "exciting" styles like RVD or with breakthrough actions, like when Austin first came around, but since the WWF doesnt try anything new, we dont get too much of this EDIT:The breakthrough part

Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted June 14, 2002 It seems to me that faces get beaten around a lot more (Austin being the exception). Heels get most of the offence, and the face usually gets a big comeback. Whoever said he wrestles like he was still a heel is right. He does. Between Trips and Hogan as the top faces on SD..I'd rather cheer the heels. (..and not just in a smark kind of "heel cheering makes you different" kind of way.) -Shiro

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 15, 2002 ok, he's not the champ Wait till KotR healthy Two semi-major injuries is not healthy by any stretch of the imagination. and starting to work his ass off. In your opinion.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 15, 2002 you're in agreement with the statments I made about stephanie then?
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 15, 2002 He can be a heel without Stephanie. Maybe not a mega over heel, but a heel none the less. It's not like he's such an over face that he needs Satan to give him his blessing to turn. Right now, he is a heel trying to be a face, and it's stupid. Just turn, damnit. So what do you say about his injuries and likely KotR win?
Guest Report post Posted June 15, 2002 Incadenza's Definitive Statement on Triple H Triple H doesn't wrestle the same matches from his heel run back in 2000 because he CAN'T. Just when his workrate was finally improving back in April, he fucks up his knee and now his elbow, once again making him a lumbering sloth, worthy of derision. I can't stand seeing him in the ring now because he's a bore; this has nothing to do with any backstage politics like all the HHH-whiners piss their Pampers about five times daily. If the man was over like a World Champ should be I would grudgingly accept him, but Triple H is no more over than your average upper midcarder, and there's no proof saying he should be at the top. His defenders will talk of his credibility, but fuck that; his "credibility" hasn't been translating into crowd heat, which is the be all and end all of who's over and who isn't. As for turning Trips heel, I'm against it. The only reason why his matches are now, at best, tolerable is that the heel controls the flow of the match, and Triple H can look good when's he spending most of his time selling the offense of actual talents like Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle. If they turn Triple H heel, his matches will become even worse, because he'll be dictating the pace of the match with his shitty offense. If you're going to be a main event-level talent, then you either need to bring it or get the fuck out. Guess which of the two Triple H needs to do?
Guest Brian Report post Posted June 15, 2002 He's still trying in a sense that he's been trying to bump like he used to for his opponents, only his comeback are much too strong.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted June 15, 2002 He can be a fine heel without Stephanie. He acts like a heel...( ASLEDGHAMMER!!!!!!!)...and he doesnt have the kind of charisma that makes you want to cheer him enough to be the top face. I think he is trying. But he is still injured...and the improvement isnt so great considering his return was a LONG time ago at this point.
