The Dark Knight

Recommended Posts

Personnally, the stupidest thing in a Batman movie was at the beginning of Batman & Robin, where Arnold conducts his choir of goons into signing an ice-cream jingle (I could be wrong since it's been a while since I last saw the movie).....don't they have anything better to do ?

NO! He had them sing the Snow Meiser song from the Year Without a Santa Claus! Don't hate on YWaSC!

As badly as people say that Two-Face, Riddler, and other characters were used...

Personally, I feel that Bane was the most mistreated villain in the original series of Batman movies.

I mean, at least in the comics and in the original animated series he had INTELLIGENCE, and wasn't going around just saying one word at a time.

The only thing that the "Batman and Robin" Bane had though was the right body, via the late Jeep Swenson

Say what you want about Batman and Robin and how weak it is, but there's nothing as stupid as the army of penguins with bombs in that movie.

I was more perplexed by the giant yellow duck, how did that thing came down in the sewers ? I used to have some Batman Returns toys when it came out and I had a set of two penguins with missles....I always thought that they had some sorts of helmets that controlled their brains or something like this.

I'd always assumed they were robotic penguins...

Yes, exactly! Bane in the comics was a fucking criminal mastermind, not some 2nd rate sub-villain to be dispatched by Robin and Batgirl. BATGIRL! The lame dialogue, the shitty casting, the re-writing of Batgirl's origin, and the Robin signal I can forgive, but they ruined Bane. Blech.

MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR SPOILER

The Scarecrow returns. Superhero Hype has sniper pictures of Cillian Murphy with the bag over his head. I suppose Nolan letting him get tasered and ride off into the night was planned all along.

DON'T CLICK THIS UNLESS YOU WANT A MAJOR SPOILER

I'm sure it will come out soon enough, but bravo for the crew's ability to keep so much of this under wraps.

Thank God.

Perhaps we'll get a Joker/Scarecrow team up ala Knightfall.

It was just speculation until someone photographed it from a rooftop across the street, and it hasn't been announced or alluded to by anyone working on the movie, so I treated it as that.

There not using two villians in this movie are they? I really hate when movies do that.

Technically, Begins had four villains, although two of which were barely sketched in. The kneejerk reaction is to think there's just way too many villains in BB:DK, but if they only have Hall as Nygma, I can sorta see it working (although they'll likely tease at his transformation, which may or may not totally suck). While I can see Hall being good as the nobody scientist who's obsessed with Wayne, I just can't imagine him in a green leotard. Besides, Carrey totally owned that role for me; I doubt anyone could top it, let alone matching it.

...This looks like something from a Marilyn Manson porno. Which is not an insult cuz, honestly, that'd be cool.

I can understand why Batman would make modifications to his suit and all, but that shot just looks like a Joel Schumacher style Batsuit.

Not enough nipples

Of course, its going to look way better in the actual film footage, but Ledger looks like Sting with green hair in those pics.

Teaser description:

I have seen The Dark Knight Teaser. I don't want to reveal everything...

It starts out with the WB logo gracing the screen, followed by the DC logo and the Legendary pictures logo. The screen goes black.

It opens back up as a commercial paid for by the friends of Harvey Dent. We are shown shots of him talking, making public speeches, and walking in a suit, while a deep voice comes on and talks about Harvey Dent. A generic politician commercial.

What seems to be halfway through the commercial, it is interrupted by static, and blacks out. Out of nowhere a crystal clear image comes onto the screen of a blacked out man with large windows behind him. The camera slowly zooms in on him. He's talking (about what I won't say) and as he finishes he begins laughing. Lightning strikes, lighting up his face, as the laughter grows more manic. Cut to black.

The Batman Begins (now The Dark Knight's bat) emblem is shown with the words The Dark Knight. Then it says Summer 2008 and has the website at the bottom.

What is said... is a surprise that I must keep for now. It gave me chills.

Wow, the description of it probably doesn't do it justice. I can't wait to see the teaser with the Simpsons Movie (only reason I'm sgoing to see it.)

I'm sorry, but I can't be hyped for "such a such day the TEASER" is released" or "OMG TEASER SPOILERS!!"

That's insane levels of hype, and annoys me whether it's a movie, game, whatever. Doesn't really tell you anything substantial, either.

Not the best quality, but it's cool that you can see an image of a joker (like off a playing card holding a cane) piece out of the Batman logo toward the end.

Also, this teaser was nothing like the teaser talked about above in the spoiler tags.

Those lying bastards at SHH.

Oh well.
