EWR has been released this morning!

Sounds good, Kamala.

I'm stuck now, as none of my development guys are ready for a push yet, but my ME is getting stale as hell. It's gotten to the point where all the guys have wrestled each other, so Match Quality is at 95 and Crowd Reaction is at 98, but the overall rating is 80 or so, because they've wrestled so many times.

I turned Maritato face to feud with Max Power, so maybe that will liven things up a bit.

I gave my RoH Tag belts to Tommy Dreamer and Seven, and they seem to be working on them. I have about 5 teams in RoLH (Ring of Lesser Honor) that are getting over.

I like how at the end of the month, you get emails about everyone in your development and training camp, telling you how they improved, in what aspects, and some are not happy about being in RoLH.

Recent RoH PPV got a 1.64, up from the last one I had as Nat'l promotion of .5. The next will challenge the WWE.

My P.I is rising, up to a 50%, the WWE is at 100, which apparently is as high as you can get.

I'm building a women's division now. WWE dropped Jazz and Lita. So I got them, put like 3-4 in the training camp and picked up Karen (forgot last name) and Kristabel Bing(got amazing ratings). Karen and Kristabel are in a fued and its up to 91. Jazz's overness is going up pretty consistant, thanks to Paul Heyman. I'm building her up to be as over as Karan, Lita, and Kristabel.

I fired Kevin Nash and will be firing Undertaker as soon as i put Sean O'haire over him. I'm trying to wait until Undertaker agrees to do the job, but if he doesn't soon i'll have to force him to do the job.

Heat's contract with MTV expired, but then TNN picked up Sunday night Velocity. I changed the name because i was bored with Heat. I did the channel switch because MTV's ratings suck and i wanted better. To quote In Living Colour "Mo money mo money mo money"

Oh yeah and i also fired Jim Ross. The fucker was old and made expendable because Jim Cornette who is also here has better stats.

My WWA is headed to 60% National, and I'm only in July 2003. PWI just recently went bankrupt, so I gobbled up Morgan, Modest and Juvi, and was finally able to steal La Parka from MLW (he refused every other time, but has now agreed. Just keep checking the stats on the other companies...the lower they fall, the more guys will want to deal with you.). Morgan and Modest are a heel team feuding with The Stretching Crew (Eric Angle and Shelton Benjamin) for the WWA Tag Belts. TAKA and Super Crazy had an excellent feud that shot both guys up to tremendous over stats. Super Crazy is now my top face, and I'm most likely going to put the World Title on him (currently held by Scott Hall).

Has anyone had any luck with the whole "so and so of the WWE's contract is coming to an end"? Does the WWE just wind up resigning them, or has anyone managed to get some good free agents from this?

It seems that WWE always resign them back. Which is not what I wanted to happen. But, interest in wrestling are rising, so I guess they won't cut anyone for years to come. :(

Yeah, that happened to me. Chris Harvard or Nowinzski was coming to the end of his contract. I was going to sign him, as he has good charisma, but he never became a free agent.

I can't even play as WWE any more. I'd rather play as my RoH, I don't know why.

Fucking Hall got caught with drugs, so I suspended him for a month. I was thinking of vacating the World Title, but I'm going to put it on Super Crazy at the beginning of next month anyways, so I'll let it slide.

damnit!

I just had my final match between Chavo and Rey at the first Velocity show. It was an "I Quit" match and i ended it with Chavo taking a sick bump. Well Chavo is now hurt for 10 months. It sucks because I was about to give him a feud over the cruiserweight title after i finished my Jamie Noble vs. Shane Helms at the upcoming PPV. I should've known better then to risk my future plans with a sick bump.

I was planning having Helms win the blow off match and move onto Chavo, but now i don't know what I will do. If Helms still wins i guess he could feud with Juvi or Eddy, but i'm trying to build Eddy/Juvi up as a tag team(Guerrero Cousins). I could also let Jamie win and fued him with Rey Misterio or just keep the Noble vs. Helms feud.

:sigh: I don't know what to do

Yeah, you have to be really careful when choosing the sick bump option. During the early days of my current WWA, when I was trying to have good matches to increase my overalls, I had Mike Sanders defend the WWA Title against Jody Fleisch in a ladder match. Sanders won via sick bump, and Fleisch wound up with a broken leg, out for 12 months. That sucks, because he was going to be helpful in building the company up. I think he wound up getting signed by the XWF after I "Bischoffed" him after the injury.

On another injury note-Lash LeRoux just returned from a torn bicep recieved at a house show THE DAY AFTER WINNING MY CRUISER TITLE!!!He's now in a feud with newcomer Marc Mero that will hopefully benefit them both.

I do love how realistic this game can be (injuries at any time, etc.).

Well, it took about a week or so, but I finally finished a 1989 scenario for EWR 1.4.

Anyways, if anybody wants to test it out for me, just hit the email button and I'll send it as soon as possible.

Basically, it's 5 feds (WWF, NWA, AWA, USWA, and Stampede) and 250+Workers. That's pretty low I guess, but hey if you want to create your own Bradshaw then go right ahead.

Yeah, I never got that. I mean, having Kurt Angle, Sexton Hardcastle (Edge), etc. in the 1996 scenario made sense, because you could put them in development/training camp. But in 1989 who the hell would sign Bradshaw or any of the "current guys" with lower stats (save for those who were actually around/starting out in '89)? When I think 1989, I think Flair, Steamboat, Hogan, Savage, etc. Not Bradshaw.

Man Karen Fraser(82 over) never wants to lose cleanly. I tried to make her lose during a run-in by Lita (89 Over) and she said that she wasn't good enough. Beeyotch, her ass is over yours. I even tried making Super Crazy (92 Over) run in, she still said he isn't good enough. So I just went ahead and made Lita run in anyways.

Luckily it didn't change her happiness or over ratings.

Is there any guidelines or requirements before I can buy a company out? Just out of curiousity.

Other than the backyard fed, who agree to sell at pretty much any time, you'll have to wait for public image/money of other promotions to start dwindling. As long as you're above them (making more money, better status) you have a shot. Some may still refuse to sell, while others agree right away. Your best bet is to wait a little while and just see if they go bankrupt. That's what I did in my current WWA with PWI. Rather than buy them out, I waited on it, and they wound up folding, allowing me to hire Juvi, Morgan, Modest and Saturn.

Okay, thankee. My SWF is running nice and strong, while the SJL (-insert cheap plug-) has a bunch of good guys but now they're bitching. Anyways, I now just auto-book most of the shows until a few shows before the PPV.

I had to fire Hulk Hogan after he started no-selling and didn't want to job to Mike Awesome, Test, or Lance Storm, so I downgraded his ass to lower midcarder and then fired his ass after Test squashed him.

I'm loving my Austin/Benoit feud right now with has like 98 heat, Brock is my most over heel and WWE World Champ, Jericho is second, Benoit third, Eddy fourth, and Trips fifth.

Eddy just massarced RVD for the IC Title thanks to Trips who is feuding with RVD and will squash him in their RAW Title match next PPV(Survivor Series). The Un-Americans have added 3 new members: Awesome, Tajiri, and Regal and now feuding with OMEGA(Hurricane/Shane Helms) who are going to win the tag titles from the Natural Born Thrillers(Kanyon/O'Haire) after a 2 month feud.

My tag champs before the NBTs were Al Snow/Maven, but when Snow refused to feud with the NBTs because "they weren't on his level", I jobbed them out on Smackdown.

No Mercy drew a 1.68 buyrate and RAW/Smackdown/Heat constantly get 6.0/5.0/2.8 ratings.

BOO-YAH!

I finally got my first 5 star match, finally!. WHat do you know, 2 in the same card. I mean I have been playing this since it came out, through all the different versions and then 2 in the same card, on a tv taping no less.

-------------------------------------------------------

AJ Styles vs TAKA Michinoku : Hard back suplex on TAKA. Anyone remember when that was Shawn Michaels's finisher? Vicious lightning kick by Styles on TAKA. Hooks the leg for a two count. TAKA Michinoku avoids a AJ Styles avalanche. Stiff high kick on Styles by TAKA Michinoku who has evidently been watching some old AJPW tapes recently. Flying elbow from TAKA Michinoku. Cover for a two count. Shining Wizard on Styles, TAKA really laid that one in. Hooks the leg for a close fall. Legsweep out of Nowhere. Where is Nowhere, and why do moves keep coming out of there? Does it have a factory? AJ Styles elbows TAKA Michinoku in the face to break a hammerlock. Flying cross body off the top rope! Even Steamboat would have applauded the execution on that. Hooks the leg for a two count. Shining Wizard on TAKA, Styles really laid that one in. Cover, but there's a last second kick-out. AJ Styles hits a rolling kick on TAKA. AJ Styles strikes TAKA. TAKA blocks the suplex attempt. TAKA uses a basement dropkick to the knee. Springboard dropkick from TAKA Michinoku. Nicely done. The referee bumps after catching a wild right hand and is down. AJ Styles knocks TAKA to the outside, then signals for the Styles Clash. He reaches out of the ring for TAKA Michinoku...and gets clobbered with the ring bell! Right to the head! The referee wakes up to see TAKA sliding in and making the pinfall: 1....2....3! Forget about it. The fight has started up again! AJ Styles attacks TAKA, and they brawl all around ringside, then into the crowd! They eventually disappear backstage, still fighting. A ***** rating for a superb bout!

Steve Austin vs Steve Corino : Rude Awakening on Steve Corino by Stone Cold. Devastating face-first slam from Stone Cold on Corino. Hooks the leg for a two count. Steve Corino powers out of a Steve Austin headlock. Steve Corino uses move #193 (arm-BAR). Hard impact russian legsweep by Corino. If you're going to get impact, 'hard' is probably a good way to go. There's a two count on the pin. Northern Lights Bomb very nearly crushes the spine of Stone Cold. Pin, but Stone Cold is out just before the three count. Stone Cold gets caught with a short powerbomb from Corino. Steve Corino gets taken down out of nowhere. Devastating face-first slam from Stone Cold on Corino. Hooks the leg for a two count. Lifting DDT by Steve Austin, executed well. Hooks the leg for a close fall. Big backdrop on Corino, executed well. Steve Austin fires off some right and left hands. Steve Austin gets taken down out of nowhere. Stun Gun from Steve Corino! There used to be this blonde guy in WCW in the early 90's who used that...i wonder what happened to him? Front legsweep slam by Steve Corino, hit with precision. Steve Corino gets a roll-up...and grabs a handful of tights as well! The referee doesn't see it: 1....2...3!! Steve Austin looks furious. The referee walks over...and gets blasted with a clothesline! Stone Cold has lost it! A ***** rating for a superb bout!

I'm kind of bored with RoH right now, so I started a 2001 CZW save slot. It's relatively easy, I only lost 600K my first month, and I've already gone to a Cult level, so it's moving on well.

Top faces:

Low Ki

Brian Fierce

American Dragon

Zandig

Nick Mondo

Top heels:

Christopher Daniels

Max Power

MEN's Teioh

Reckless Youth

Lobo

I got a deal with USA right off the bat, by lowering my risk level to about 60. USA bitches after every show that the ratings need to come up, but they haven't cancelled my ass yet, so 1.5's will have to do for now!

Paul Heyman is god, I got him managing a team of Bautista and Mike Awesome, called Extreme Measures, and I swear all Heyman has to do is so much as show up and it boosts the segment.

Also had my highest rated match so far in my fed (WWA)

Steve Austin vs Scott Steiner (For The WWA Heavyweight Title) : Stone Cold slams Scott Steiner down. Massive backbreaker, Poppa Pump got planted. Early reports indicate that the back was *not* actually broken, so the move's name should actually be backhurter. Cover for a two count. Scott Steiner takes the advantage after a i-block-your-punch-you-don't-block-mine routine. Stone Cold receives some unexciting punishment. Stone Cold gets squashed in the corner with a clothesline. There's a two count on the pin. Scott Steiner turns Stone Cold inside-out with a clothesline. Pin : 1 - 2 - 2.9999999. Stone Cold takes a vertical suplex. Scott Steiner misses a big legdrop after stalling too long. Spinebuster by Steve Austin. Hooks the leg for a two count. Powerbomb on Poppa Pump. Pin : 1 - 2 - 2.9999999. Rude Awakening on Scott Steiner by Stone Cold. Chanelling the spirit of Misawa, Steve Austin uses a forearm to the face. Stone Cold walks into a trip. Stone Cold gets squashed in the corner with a clothesline. Sloppy tornado punch from Scott Steiner, Stone Cold barely got hit. Rick Steiner comes running down the aisle with a chair! Poppa Pump goes to irish whip Steve Austin into the ropes. Steiner hits Stone Cold with a chair to the back! Scott Steiner floors Steve Austin. Here it comes...Steiner Recliner! Steve Austin taps! Poppa Pump and Steiner beat away on Steve Austin, leaving him spread-eagled on the canvas. A ****1\4 rating, great bout.

Well i figured out the backup plan for the Chavo injury. Helms is going to win the blow off and enter into a feud with Tajiri.

I'm to the Royal Rumble now, but i've got to think about my future plans before booking the show. I've got to see who i want to use in a major way in the future so i can have them win the Rumble.

Well, USA cancelled me after my PPV. I got a new deal with America One, which is fine, as CZW isn't very big right now.

I got my first 5 star match at my PPV. Amazingly i got it for a match that ended in a no contest.

Triple H vs Kurt Angle (For The WWF Raw Title) : HHH slams Kurt Angle. Angle receives some punishment. Big backdrop on Angle, executed well. Big clothesline on Angle. Angle counters an arm wringer with an elbow to the side of the head. Running knee lift from Kurt Angle. Tiger bomb by Kurt Angle, executed perfectly. Hooks the leg for a two count. HHH ducks a wild right hand. Full nelson slam on Angle. Hooks the leg for a two count. Death valley driver by Triple H, Kurt Angle is down and hurt. Pinfall attempt gets a 2.9999. Kurt Angle reverses a hip toss. Angle bodyslams Triple H. Triple H comes up with a right hand out of nowhere. Fallaway slam by Triple H. Shane McMahon just slid into the ring out of nowhere! Kurt Angle gets grabbed, and they start brawling. HHH takes some shots at Angle as well. The referee, seeing the chaos, calls for a no contest ruling. HHH and Shane beat away on Kurt Angle, leaving him spread-eagled on the canvas. A ***** rating for a superb bout!

Well i won't have to fire Hogan after all he's retiring at the end of this month. If i'm feeling like a prick i may fire him a day before the month ends so i don't have to pay him for his last month.

I just bought out CZW and Maryland Championship Wrestling. Why you ask...well because i can. Well ok i also wanted Air Paris from CZW but he wouldn't leave. So it's all his fault that CZW doesn't exist now.

I haven't been using CW Anderson in my WWA for a few months (EWR time), since he lost his feud with David Flair. I had contemplated turning him face and forming a face Horsemen, led by David, but now that will never come to pass, as CW Anderson got injured at a house show, and will be out 16 months with a knee injury. Wasn't using him, he's hurt, and was still under a verbal deal (despite me being national), so guess who went by by...

For some reason, I didn't do as well this month as I had previous months. Less money from ticket sales, etc. I'd sign more "over" people, but they've all been gobbled up by WWE (Goldberg, Vader, Austin, Heyman got resigned, etc.) All the other over people (Hogan, Savage, Sid) are non-wrestlers, or are worthless to me (Jim Duggan, Lita, Warrior). So I just signed Sean Waltman, Perry Saturn, and D Lo Brown. We're almost to 80% National...Global here we come!

Yeah, I 'Bischoff'ed Johnny Kashmere and Trent Acid for getting hurt. Kashmere broke his nose and was out for 3 months and Acid tore his calf for 10 months. Tough luck guys...

My RoH is struggling, my PI is dropping because I'm trying to get cancelled on my monday night show. I didn't want it, but I hit the button by accident, so my PI drops about 15 points everytime I cancel the show.

I love this game! I recently got addicted to it again. But something I haven't seen done here, interpromotional battle. Who can get the better ratings? How are the feuds doing? Throughtout this thread, I have seen some great organization. Maybe we will see one soon....

Aww, why you trying to get my hopes up like that?!? :(

Now if you're talking about a honest to goodness EWR:Online version of it, that element would rock :headbang: ...

-pooling 6-8 owners in a huge league

-giving each owner a low salary cap to sign # wrestlers to their fed

-allowing a better chance for feds to steal other wrestlers (wrestlers pushing more for verbal contracts if they're underpaid?)

-necessity to keep every wrestler content with the product, or else they quit and join up with another fed (although with a no-compete clause)

-TRADING STARS/DEVELOPMENTAL WRESTLERS?

And more options along those lines... Any other suggestions?

Why don't you just use content too risky for the network, and eventually they'll drop you. If you're still putting on cards and getting decent ratings, your PI will still rise, and maybe fall a little once cancelled. And if sponsors drop you, just lower your risk rate, resign them, raise it for the next show, etc.

Oh yeah, just signed Tommy Dreamer to the WWA. I'm going to turn Sandman heel and have them relive their "glory days".

Too bad you can't do 3 way feuds, because I'd throw Masato Tanaka in there and have him rip shit up too. Oh well, he and La Parka are feuding with Funaki and Dick Togo now.

I think it would be interesting for two people to do a WWE 'roster split' diary or something on this board...Like let's say me and Angle-plex did a draft, and then edited our games so that I would take RAW and he would take Smackdown! or something like that. Then have it be like a little 'competition' or whatever

I **kind** of split the rosters. Since I realised I didn't have much time on both shows for everyone, I just put the majority of the Cruisers and Tag-Teams on SD and I put the Womens and IC on Raw. Its not a 100% split since workers still cross shows, but now each brand focuses more on there respective division. The Raw and World Title I put on both shows. And I used Heat for pure, old fahioned wrestling and putting people over.
