Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted June 15, 2002 I was watching Freddy's Dead and noticed that Goo Goo Dolls had a few songs in the movie. What album is I'm Awake Now (Played during the opening credits) on? I'd never heard of that song and it's pretty good.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted June 15, 2002 Hey... I must say the Goo Goo Dolls are a great band. That being said, the song is only available on the Freddy's Dead soundtrack, and that sucker's out of print. That being said, there's a copy in Amazon.com's Z-shops for $20 (! ), or for a much better price, if you have an eBay account, check this auction... hurry though 'cuz it only has one day left! Good luck in picking it up, it's actually been a while since I saw the film and don't remember any of the songs from it, so I'll just download it off KaZaA, which if you want to spend the least amount of money is probably the best option
Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted June 15, 2002 Goo Goo Dolls are a good band but generally get associated with mid90s one hit wonders. Im just glad that they still are putting out good songs and albums.
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted June 16, 2002 The Goo Goo Dolls are a really terrible Replacements facsimile, for the record, and they seem to get a little worse with each new album. But I will always respect them because of the concert they played for me and about 250 military members and dependants in Naples, Italy. It rained the whole time. I'm not talking light rain, either. It was coming down in buckets for the full hour and a half they played. I left about 30 minutes in for the cozy confines of my nearby cabin, but they continued to play for what seemed like forever. I could only think "I bet Axl Rose wouldn't do that." So, yeah. I respect their dedication but they're still an awful band.
