Here is why Booker stands to gain nothing from his forced face turn at the hands of the nwo on monday:

 

1.  Even with HBK...the NWO isn't over.

 

2.  Eventually people will start cheering the NWO before they bother to boo...negating any of Bookers face heat.

 

3.  The guy who punked him out isnt a wrestler...so good luck beating him to get your heat back.

 

4.  I wish you even better luck getting your heat back in matches against XPac and Big Show.

 

5.  Watch Raw.  Watch him get kicked.  No one in the crowd cared.

That actually would've been a really good idea, because it'd also maintain the "Odd Couple" tag team/friendship thing they have going.  Plus, the two of them could beat the nWo's ass on... HeAT? Hmmm... I think this was a no-win situation.

 

Every single point bps made was valid and true.  I wonder if Booker T will be jobbing to someone like Bradshaw in the show opener next week, or "down-graded" to main-eventing HeAT? Damn Klique...

All true. I was waiting for Goldust to come out and for them to run off the nWo and it never happened. The booking makes no sense.

Another problem was that it was only a superkick that took him out.  If it had been a massive group beatdown, then he could take a few weeks off and they could build up the fact that he would come back for revenge.  Now, if he's not on Raw this week, he comes off as a pussy, since the superkick isn't exactly a near-death experience.

Ahh... but then it becomes who needs the win to re-build credibility more: Booker T or Chris Jericho? I'd say Booker because he arguably never had any credibility in the first place, and this nWo thing only proves it more than anything else.

jericho is fucked as a main eventer.  winning kotr wont do shit to change that.  however if the rumours are true and the kotr winner gets the summerslam shot, id expect van dam or jericho to get the win.

Booker T and Jericho could just be given 15 minutes or so to put on a really good KotR final. I mean, I feel that even a loss doesn't kill someone unless the aftermath of said loss kills them. For instance, I feel Jericho was awesome at Judgment Day and actually(in my mind anyway) looked to be controlling the match. We later see him in meaningless matches on Smackdown weekly, which is what really killed him. Booker should win KotR of course, but putting on a really good Final could allow Jericho to build himself back up, barring any post-Judgment Day style booking.

I think to get some credibility back Jericho may need to go back to being a face.. Vince apparently doesn't like Jericho enough to give him the heel who can't be beaten HHH '99-00 push that really brought HHH to the next level, so instead he gave him the Honky Tonk Man push, which I think works for the I-C level, but doesn't work in the World Title level (at least not in the short amount of time Jericho had to make it work ... and he WAS doing just fine until Stephanie came along).

 

As a face, Jericho could either lose (like Vince loves him to) and he'd be over because people like him or he could win as an underdog (which would keep him over, but not make him a threat to HHH because he's just winning as a 'fluke' )

 

The only way to keep over as a heel would be to give him loads of mic time to simply berate his opponents, even after they've beaten him.

 

Either way, he's the only one I'll watch SmackDown for, so when I see he has an interview on the spoilers, then and only then, will I watch.

I still think this entire thing is going to lead to Goldust joining the nWo, thus turning on Booker T. It makes sense to me, in regards as to how they have built this entire angle up so far.
