I asked this, and after some searching, I found out that Football Wives was indeed "Playmaker"ed by the No Fun League

 

Good, the original is pretty decent on BBCA about soccer and American remakes have been hit or big miss. The main thing that makes the original so good though is the language, very adult content and nudity of the hot ladies. Without those elements, it would be kind of a weak show.
