Heyman pushing for Storm and Dawn Marie

Recommended Posts

Guest

The latest plan for Dawn Marie, who debuted on SmackDown! at Stacy Keibler's secretery, is to incorporate her into "Reverend" D-Von's storyline. Paul Heyman, who now controls the majority of booking for SmackDown! (with Vince McMahon still having final say) is pushing for WWE to use Dawn Marie with Lance Storm as he did in ECW. He feels this would give both Lance Storm a push due to having an attractive female on his shoulder who can work her way into his storylines, much like Stacy Keibler did with the Dudley Boys, and also get Dawn Marie good television time as well. This could also lead into mixed tag matches and other gap-fillers for television and pay-per views.

Damnit! Just when I start to get a little excited they use the term "Gap-Filler."

So much for a decent push.

Gotta love the WWF.  They refuse to give Lance Storm anything resembling a decent push, because they have no faith in him.  What's the WWF's answer?  Shit, what's their answer to EVERY person who Vince thinks can't get over on his own?  STICK A BITCH WITH HIM!  Storm, Tajiri, Jericho, Maven, on and on.  "It worked for the Godfather!"  Hell, they're so bent on pushing Regal that they did it for him too.  STICK A BITCH WITH HIM!  THAT'LL GET HIM OVER!!  I say screw the bitches(literally and figuratively), because a bitch at ringside means a cheap, cop-out finish, and tons of Michael Cole screaming "WAIT A MINUTE!!"  Ugh.

Hey, if it gets Lance more TV time, I'm happy with it.  Pair him with Mae Young if it means he'll get 8-10 minute a show.

I'm all for it, Dawn Marie is a hottie & Lance Storm has talent.

I think it would be a good plan, it really would help Storm get tv time.

Hmmmm... Heyman pushing for former ECW talent? Looks like backstage politics work both ways :)

Too bad it doesn't seem to be working so far though.  I honestly can't make the call of whether the Dawn Marie/Lance Storm/Justin Credible/Impact Players team was overrated or not, but I'm not a huge ECW fan (ironically, since my favorite wrestler's best days were in ECW) and that's a pairing I've always known from the group... Impact Players, if not Credible & Storm, then Storm & Marie.

Dawn Marie is an F-ing fox(she is now my new goddess, with Stacy in a VERY close second), and Storm can be the man when he wants to(read: all the time). Heyman has something here, I feel.

Just keep my goddess from the goddamn zealot D-von.

Storm and Dawn Marie had good chemistry in ECW, I think it would be a good fit for two people who don't really have direction right now.

I second the chemistry comment.Dawn's ditzy valet to Lance's serious persona made for some fun promos and they just seemed to work really well together. I haven't been on Lance's site in a while but I know he used to rave about her and they seem to have a genuine friendship which is probably why it worked so well.

I also second the "Dawn Marie is an F-ing fox" comment and I don't even need to explain it

What ought to be done is take Storm, Christian, Test, and Jericho and make Team Canada, they can use Dawn Marie for the role they had Major Gunns in, when Storm was in WCW.
