Some people are so fickle...

The only classification mixup that irks me is the following:

Calling Bluegrass(banjos and fiddles, GOLD) "Redneck Music."

It is NOT Redneck Music.

So where would Pantera fit then? I don't think it would be Thrash Metal? Or are they just in a classification of themselves, like HEAVY FUCKIN METAL!

Some bands defy classification. Pantera, Black Label Society, Corrosion Of Conformity, Ozzy Osbourne...etc. Those are the bands that can just be called "Heavy Metal."

Interesting conversation, I've had a few like that but with what's punk and what's not. First off SOAD isn't punk (least in my opinion). Granted I don't listen to much metal, I still like "nu-metal" as you guys call it but I can tell when it's harder metal and when it's the "nu-metal".

I like Mudvayne, I like Slipknot, I also like Pantera, Slayer, Judas Priest, etc. I just don't see the clashing problem unless they go away saying, "The new Sum 41 song is so metal, I mashed pit to it!" (yes mash pit).
