Guest Posted June 16, 2002 Report Posted June 16, 2002 No problems with Something Corperate in this camp. THURSDAY are the best emo band evar.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted June 16, 2002 Report Posted June 16, 2002 That's funny, I've never heard of them. ...and after all this time, I still don't know what the hell emo is!
Guest Posted June 16, 2002 Report Posted June 16, 2002 Yes at the drive in do rule, but they also have 4 other Cds and a shitload of split Eps. If you're a fan of them and have only heard Relationship Of Command, I suggest tracking down all their material, as they don't write bad songs. And Thursday does kick major ass. I would suggest listening to Poison The Well, Glassjaw, and Taking Back Sunday if you like them.
Guest redbaron51 Posted June 16, 2002 Report Posted June 16, 2002 what songs are good by this band that is craptacular?
Guest Anorak Posted June 16, 2002 Report Posted June 16, 2002 ATDI were terribly overated, they weren't awful by any means but they weren't anything special either. Their records were all over the place, sometimes they hit on a great sound but more often than not they were an absolute mess. They had the ultra hip 'retro rock' look going for them that much of the music press loves so much (same deal with The Strokes more recently) which made them fashionably alternative. They were an overhyped band whose music didn't justify the acclaim they recieved.
Guest PlatypusFool Posted June 16, 2002 Report Posted June 16, 2002 Anorak - you are wrong. Go and listen to 'In/Casino/Out' and then come back to me. That album has a consistent sound and is consistently great... better than Relationship Of Command in fact.
