Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted June 16, 2002 I just thought of something. I quote Jim Ross: "He'll never be on Raw again, as far as I know." Could this be a setup to trade him to Smackdown? I feel this is now a shoot after watching tonight, but something in the back of my head wants me to believe this is still a work.
Guest wolverine Report post Posted June 16, 2002 After watching tonight, I know Heyman's writing this angle. They obviously didn't learn from WCW/Russo's mistakes of going too inside for the public.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted June 16, 2002 Confidential has me convinced it was a shoot. I mean look at JR- he can't act.
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted June 16, 2002 I think Jim Ross just made a generalized comment about him not being no Raw again. I mean, even in the storyline Vince owns both shows again anyway so I doubt it. After all Vince said tonight the door is not open for him to ever return. It had that creepy "Bret screwed Bret" vibe going, except this time I wasn't angry at Vince.....this time I agreed with him. I can't really see this being an angle of any sort. How could this possibly draw any money? I mean, JR and Vince basically said he couldn't be trusted to even show up anymore, so that kinda kills Austin's drawing potential I would think. Guest wolverine Report post Posted June 16, 2002 Don't you guys see it? They're recreating the Invasion angle. Hopefully they don't fuck it up this time.
Guest Report post Posted June 16, 2002 And-exactly-how-is-that?
Guest Report post Posted June 16, 2002 This cant be an angle. How the hell can this be an angle, that would be too wcwish, using their own real life problems to benefit a storyline and it didnt work for wcw and it wont work here. Vince said he couldnt do beusiness with austin again, because he may walk out again. If this is a swerve I will shut up. But it doesnt seem like it at all. Guest wolverine Report post Posted June 16, 2002 Well this is proof that it's a DAMN good one, because it seems to be working over here.

Guest wolverine Report post Posted June 16, 2002 Nah, he's going to play Sting circa 1997. I can't believe people aren't picking up on this.

If this really is a work then Confidential is a double-edged sword because 1) IF this is a work, then we have witnessed an outlet for some of the best acting I have ever seen on WWF(E) television, and 2) the show's credibility is already suffering thanks to Shawn Michaels' return.
