Bret Hart Vs. Mick Foley

I was thinking about Foley's early career, and I realized that I don't remember him ever working with Bret Hart. Did this match ever take place? It would be interesting to see how those two would work together.

Its possible on RAW in 1997, when Foley was tag partners with Austin.

It happened at least once. They wrestled on a live Shotgun Saturday Night show at the Webster Hall night club here in NYC.

I'm pretty sure "Wrestling with Shadows" shows a scene where Hart and Foley (ManKind) are joking backstage prior to a match between them (probably at a house show)

Yeah, I figuered it would have had to have taken place in the Hart Foundation period of '97 when Austin and Dude Love were tag champs. Any chance it happened before Wrestlemania when Mick was still heel Makind and Bret was still the virtuous babyface?

 

Just thinking about this, it's very interesting to wonder what could have been had these two ever been booked to have a meaningfull program against each other, considering they're quite the polar opposites who could still have a great match, I think.

Yeah it was before WM so Bret was the face and Foley was Mankind but Bret was getting booed and Foley cheered. Its funny this was brought up because i actually came across the match the other day unintentionally. It was pretty long for a tv match and it wasnt that bad considering they were wrestling in a night club.

If you have seen Wrestling with Shadows, Mankind does the running knee thing into the corner on Bret. I believe it was a house show.

Foley actually wrestled Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart in that one night. He lost both encounters.
