CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2007 I've just taken a job at electronics store, specializing in car stereos (decks, subs, amps, etc.), of which I know very little. They also sell home theatres, televisions, cameras and whatnot, stuff I'm very confident in selling. My training period, from what I've seen thus far, consists pretty much of "If you have a question, look it up on the Internet. You can start on commission when you're comfortable". Since it seems awfully inefficient to half-ass my customer service, then look it up the second I get stumped, can anyone give me a brief rundown on stuff I would likely be asked, basic terminology, etc? Even an online tutorial would do the trick. My visit to howstuffworks.com proved in vain. (Which isn't a knock on that site whatsoever. It's traditionally been my go-to when I wanted to know anything about electronics). I basically know the different features of some decks, what a tweeter and sub are, what an amplifier does, and I have some idea the difference between peak and RMS power.
