Guest Posted June 16, 2002 Report Posted June 16, 2002 I fucking hate TNN now. They need to put Velocity and Confidential on earlier and maybe move Baywatch or Robot Wars. But the thing that really pisses me off is that they got rid of all their good sitcoms, like Taxi, Newhart, and WKRP. I had such an awesome summer watching those shows. WKRP and Newhart were the best! Now we have this Real TV crap, and American Gladiators, and stupid crap like that. I didn't like the Wonder Years, but I think they're best off going back to showing Newhart and stuff again. TNN needs pop.
Guest razazteca Posted June 16, 2002 Report Posted June 16, 2002 Miami Vice and Mad Tv are still on right? Well it could be worst, what if TNN made a night of pure Sports Entertainment crap? 7pm Battle Dome 8pm Thunder Box 9pm Robot Wars 10pm Roller Jam 11pm American Gladiators 12pm Real tv
Guest Karnage Posted June 16, 2002 Report Posted June 16, 2002 Theres nothing wrong with American Gladiators, and when I saw A-Team on TNN i was marking out. Mad TV is so lame, they show it every other hour.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted June 16, 2002 Report Posted June 16, 2002 Robot Wars and American Gladiators are good.
Guest Kingpk Posted June 17, 2002 Report Posted June 17, 2002 I will keep on saying this until my dying day: TNN should buy the rights to the Comedy Central era MST3K episodes. I would watch every damn night. At least they got American Gladiators, a good move.
Guest razazteca Posted June 17, 2002 Report Posted June 17, 2002 Mad tv did have some funny moments such as Will Sasso as Kenny Rogers and whenver there is a skit about pro wrestling
Guest evenflowDDT Posted June 17, 2002 Report Posted June 17, 2002 While TNN is far from my favorite network, they have RAW, VELOCITY~!, "The A-Team", The Godfather trilogy (uncut, although with commercials), and they recently bought the rights to "Ren & Stimpy". Sure, a lot of their other stuff is cheese & crap, but you could do a LOT worse with a network.
Guest J*ingus Posted June 17, 2002 Report Posted June 17, 2002 Did anyone here ever see TNN two years ago, prior to getting pop? Then they REALLY sucked, they're a bastion of intelligent entertainment now by comparison.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted June 17, 2002 Report Posted June 17, 2002 I didn't get TNN before they became "Pop". I had no idea they were even around before then...
Guest J*ingus Posted June 17, 2002 Report Posted June 17, 2002 Basically they were a country music channel, mostly local shows done out of Nashville. Except for the Grand Ole Opry and a few others, they were mostly pretty bad. I'd much rather have WW(F)E and Star Trek any day.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted June 17, 2002 Report Posted June 17, 2002 My mom used to tape craft shows on TNN-Pre POP. After the craft show they used to have square dancing I think, so don't complain.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted June 17, 2002 Report Posted June 17, 2002 While I love some of the shows they currently air (besides wrestling, I love Three's Company and Diff'rent Strokes, as well as The A Team.), I think they could expand their lineup a little bit. Maybe adding a few more popular sitcoms, or action shows would be better than constant Star Trek marathons. Wishful thinking:They could always put California Dreams on the lineup. Or Saved By The Bell:The New Class :-D
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 17, 2002 Report Posted June 17, 2002 i don't mind the new tnn. they certainly aren't as lame as when they were full of pop. they are getting better shows (like american gladiators), and they carry raw, velocity, and confidential too.
Guest starvenger Posted June 18, 2002 Report Posted June 18, 2002 >Before-Raw,there-was-ROLLER-JAM! Ah, yes, RollerJam... Poor storylines, to be sure, but I had a real thing for Amy Craig, so I kept watching anyway...
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted June 18, 2002 Report Posted June 18, 2002 BEFORE RAW - THERE WAS - ECW...and the NETWORK...bah...
Guest jimmy no nose Posted June 18, 2002 Report Posted June 18, 2002 The more you guys bash the old shows the more I want them back. Ahh the Bod Squad, Rollerjam was so funny to watch. The Network was awesome. ROCK 'N BOWL!!
Guest franchise632 Posted June 20, 2002 Report Posted June 20, 2002 My only question, when does something "new" stop being new and is old? I would think after like two years or so it would be. But i guess if you keep changing your programing every 6 months or so its still new. Im not sure i can tell the difference between "POP" and the "new" TNN. Same crap, different name. Although some of those new commercials are kinda funny.
Guest lomasmoney Posted June 20, 2002 Report Posted June 20, 2002 TNN is Dumb. The only shows that get them ratings are raw and Star Trek. With out those two shows their lineup would just be American Gladiators, Mad TV, Miami Vice and Re-runs of Roller Jam.
Guest starvenger Posted June 21, 2002 Report Posted June 21, 2002 >My only question, when does something "new" stop being new and is old? Good question. Since we still have "new" country and "new" rock, I'd say quite a long time.

Guest DawnBTVS Posted June 23, 2002 Report Posted June 23, 2002 Last night before Velocity they aired two Celebrity Deathmatch shows so they might have acquired the rights for Celebrity Deathmatch.
Guest Karnage Posted June 23, 2002 Report Posted June 23, 2002 Celebrity Deathmatch is on TNN because Viacom owns MTV, UPN, and TNN. I saw Celebrity Deathmatch on UPN a couple times too.
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Last night before Velocity they aired two Celebrity Deathmatch shows so they might have acquired the rights for Celebrity Deathmatch. in canada they blacked CD out on saturday night. i switched it to tnn to see what velocity was and it was supposed to be on but there was just a screen saying they couldn't play the show.
Guest Karnage Posted June 24, 2002 Report Posted June 24, 2002 Really? Celebrity Deathmatch was on last week with no blackouts in Canada. I've noticed a lot of shows being blacked out on TNN...Baywatch, Three's Company, Celebrity Deathmatch etc.
