Guest Beingz0wningj00 Report post Posted June 16, 2002 Alrighty dudes... and dudettes... Reading the SWF is circling the Drainb post, many people suggested burnout... and a few of the recent retirees have been doing cause of that. Shorter Word Limits was one way. However Stubby made the good point of not sacrificing the quality of the fed. I think many agree about this one... Other... Pay Per Views every two months... I think Annie mentionned this one... I for one really like it, and think even the WWE should use it. It allows more time to build feuds, make them personal, and at the same time allow them to mean something. The Pay Per View should be a reward, not a punishment on who can write more then their opponent. This will also allow us to have matches for the sake of matches on cards... but at the sametime, start feuds from them. Anyway... Any other ideas are welcome. I think this is something to really look into.
Guest Ash Ketchum Report post Posted June 17, 2002 I'll go with anything but a JL-WF merger. That solves NOTHING.
Guest AnnieEclectic Report post Posted June 17, 2002 (Y) @ my idea getting mention I think if the combined 3 shows in two weeks and every two month PPV ideas went through, a lot, and I mean *alot* less burnout, and hopefully no showing would happen. No showing will always occur, but lessening it is always a good thing. I dont think major overhaul is needed here, just simply tweaking. Because tweaking is good. -annie
Guest Beingz0wningj00 Report post Posted June 17, 2002 3 shows every two weeks will only confuse people. That's a given... However if they do a PPV every two months, and 3 shows every two weeks... that gives both time and chance. Blarg.
Guest Muzz Report post Posted June 17, 2002 "3 shows every two weeks will only confuse people." I'm sure everyone is smart enough to work it out. I would welcome that change, and Annie's idea is a good one too. We could at least try it for a while to see how it works out.
Guest BA_Baracus Report post Posted June 17, 2002 PROMO (Stubby P. McWeed); "From a booking point of view, I don't know about having a PPV every 2 months. It's hard enough to string storylines along for a month. Basically we'd end up having to have PPV-like blow-off shows on a monthly basis even if they weren't called that. Personally I suggest retiring from writing and becoming the commish to avoid burn-out. Did wonders for me (although I'm starting to get booker's burn-out I think). Once again I think it comes down to getting more people. If we had a 25 person roster, I would only have to book 15 people to make a show and thus people could get shows off instead of being booked on every single show they're available for. Mothernature says hmmm..."

Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted June 17, 2002 Some people after a long write of not no-showing and constintly putting in effort, finally gets tired and really have a hard time struggling to work on the match. Or some people can control their temper and throw objects into walls.
