The best n64 games

Recommended Posts

Guest

OK, I've decided to buy an N64 (again, since I used to have one but traded it in for a Dreamcast). I regret trading it in, not because Dreamcast sucks (it's one of my favorites) but because after I traded it it, a lot of great games came out. I'm going to get a used system (Babbages have them for about $30) and I was wondering what you guys thought were the best games, I've already made a small list

-WCW/NWO Revenge

-WWF Wrestlemania 2000 OR No Mercy (which is better?)

-Both Zelda games

-Ogre Battle (if I can find it)

-Goldeneye

What other games are good? Thanks.

--Virtual ProWrestling 2 (Japanese import - can get off of eBay.  Make sure to get a converter)

--Mario Kart 64

--Perfect Dark

--Mario Party 1 & 2

Get Revenge & No Mercy.  VPW2 is better than both IMO, though.  (VPW2 was done by AKI/Asmik, the same guys who did Revenge/No Mercy, etc.)

PILOTWINGS 64~!~!~!~! was the SHIT. Such freedom!

Starfox 64, simply for the visual feast(for that time) that it offered, as well as the kick-ASS multiplayer, which I contend is more fun than Goldeneye's, and this is a person who has had many more Goldeneye matches than Starfox ones.

WWF No Mercy, GOLD, of course.

Forsaken was neat.

Mario Kart 64 has the distinction of being the game that has prompted me to throw my controller at the wall the most times.

I'll think of more.

Conker's Bad Fur Day, No Mercy, Perfect Dark, Super Mario 64, Legend of Zelda OOT.  In that order.

Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion (or any of the others)

The Legends of Zelda

Not in order. If they were, Perfect Dark would be first.

WWF No Mercy. After almost 2 years of absence, I actually took it out yesterday, and I've been playing it all day today, while listening to Live Audio Wrestling.

No Mercy, great wrestling game still play it.

Mario 64, every now and then it's fun.

WCW Revenge, look at No Mercy.

Zelda, hardly ever play it after I beat it.

Goldeneye, classic.

Starfox, just fun.

This is a funny thread.

I just bought an N64 used for 30 bucks (never owned one before...was a PS guy).

And I picked up No Mercy, Zelda OOT, Perfect Dark and Conkers Bad Fur Day all for 10 bucks each used.

I like.

Use the money you saved to buy VPW2 off eBay. It's better than No Mercy.
