Guest Ash Ketchum Report post Posted June 17, 2002 If the World Wildlife Foundation ever does a fund-raising campaign near you... SABOTAGE IT. Make them pay. Bastards.
Guest Report post Posted June 17, 2002 If the World Wildlife Foundation ever does a fund-raising campaign near you... SABOTAGE IT. Make them pay. Bastards. Jesus, WWE has gotten over it. Don't you think it's time that you do too?
Guest Austin3164life Report post Posted June 17, 2002 Big deal, so we don't have "Federation" and we have "Entertainment". Like the Administrator of this forum once posted, "It was never really about wrestling anyway..."
Guest LooseCannon Report post Posted June 17, 2002 Well, yeah... except they still have wrestling in their name.
Guest Report post Posted June 17, 2002 And you had to know it was coming. The WWe aye ee aye oh is an enormous for-profit corporation showcasing a form of entertainment that has a lowbrow reputation, and the WWF is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving wildlife. I'm not bashing wrestling, but let's tune into Sanity FM here--who would the courts and general public have more sympathy for? jester
Guest LooseCannon Report post Posted June 17, 2002 That's true, but I'm pretty sure the World Wildlife Fund had the better legal argument anyway.

As much as we all love wrestling, Vince has turned it into the media-bashing network, and High Courts are going to sympathize more with a non-profit organization for the preservation of wildlife..... Guest Report post Posted June 17, 2002 That's true, but I'm pretty sure the World Wildlife Fund had the better legal argument anyway. I don't know the ins and outs of the legal arguement, but that's logical conclusion, since they did win. I'm just grateful for a break from all the Austin threads. That situation is too depressing. Keep this thread going! jester
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 17, 2002 Question: If the Panda fuckers are "for the environment" and all that bullshit, then why would they waste all this money that SHOULD be going to save the animals on court procedings? Just ask for a donation from Vince.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted June 17, 2002 The WWFund only spends aboot 5% on finance/administrative costs. Since it was an open-and-shut case I doubt they spent all that much vs. The Wwfed.

Just ask for a donation from Vince. They have a name and an image to protect as well if they're going to operate. While it's hard for even AOL users to confuse WWF-the-panda-savers with WWF guys-in-tights-putting-each-other-through-tables, they have to make sure no-one else is using the name. Seriously, how's it going to look going door to door asking "Donations for the WWF?" They have to treat it no different as if the Make Jester Rich Foundation started a scam company called WWF. They can't take any chance that money or any other consideration might go to my WWF, so the name has to change. The whole thing should have been settled years ago. When you register a business, the first thing you should do is check to see if anyone else has a similar name... jester

Contact Tony, Angle-Plex, Anglesault, or me for infor. Pandas rule. I still want to see Vince work this into an angle. A panda-themed wrestler who goes around claiming everything in the show was his first. That's how Vince likes to take out his frustrations (RTC, anyone?). If the show's going to be bad, I say embrace it and make it REALLY bad. jester A guy who giggled madly all the way through Battlefield Earth
