PWG Giant Size Annual #4- Results

Crowd looks to be 400+. Show begins (an hour late) w/ dueling Commissioners Dino & Excalibur -- they announce that the Briscoes "were too drunk to make their plane". FUCK. Changes forthcoming.

1) Ronin beats Topgun Talwar (short and to the point)

2) Human Tornado beats Tony Kozina (started well, but got bogged down in Tornado/Candace silliness)

3) TJ Perkins & The Young Bucks beat Scott Lost, Karl "Machine Gun" Anderson & Bino Gambino (crowd was pissed at the lack of Bosh, and Bino didn't win them over; nevertheless, a surprisingly good, smooth match that put the prettyboys over big)

4) Davey Richards beats Fergal Devitt (very good but heatless -- Davey actually looked a bit better than Fergal, surprisingly)

5) Scorpio Sky beats Joey Ryan in a non-sanctioned match; Sky is reinstated as a PWG wrestler (Sky survives Dynasty interference to win, but gets beat down afterwards, w/ no Quicksilver appearance; well-worked but also fairly heatless, as the booking didn't do a good job of making Scorp seem special)

-- intermission --

6) Austin Aries beats Rocky Romero to win Rocky's spot in BOLA (very, very good and satisfying match, best of the night so far; Aries looked a step above all of the night's previous workers

7) Bryan Danielson beats Necro Butcher in a No-DQ Match (Danielson, angry that the booking changes cost him his title shot, called out anyone for a fight and drew Necro; fucking awesome brawl, maybe a little short and one-sided for some, but I thought it was basically perfect, especially given later events)

El Generico & Kevin Steen beat Roderick Strong & PAC to win the PWG Tag Team Championship (presented as the champs getting the Briscoes' toughest opponents; great, smooth, crowd-pleasing spotfest, maybe just a notch below the very best tags in the fed's history)

Afterwards, a bloodied and bandaged Danielson sends Steen to the back and challenges a beat-up Generico after all, saying sometimes a real champion fights when he's not 100%. Generico... ACCEPTS!!!

9) Bryan Danielson beats El Generico to win the PWG World Championship (great, intense, emotional match, that live seemed to be the equal of any match they've ever run)

Sounds like an awesome 2nd half.

Great on the fly booking, considering that the Briscoes didn't showed up (again, lol)

Dragon as a Champ = Me marking out

***EDIT: damn! I didn't realize that there was a thread talking about this event already. very sorry, my bad
