Guest gangsteruwa Report post Posted June 18, 2002 After watching Raw last night I found something that I miss alot. That "something" is Crazy Spike Dudley. He is just a boring character now. I miss Little Spike Dudley (LSD). I miss the Acid Drop (fuck the Dudley Dog). Drug references are way over with the crowd. Case in point RVD. When he was in ECW I used to mark out big time when Highway to Hell would come blaring and out comes Spike all crazy eyed and arms swinging. Now I don't care when he comes out with his "Average Guy" look and his bland personality. I know Vince doesn't like to use other people's storylines and gimmicks but this one actually got Spike over. Does anyone else think boarder line Insane Spike needs to come back?
Guest DrEvil Report post Posted June 18, 2002 The insane Spike was a lot more believable in the ring. It's easier to buy an insane little guy who may or may not be hyped up on drugs taking crazy bumps and coming back from them than a little guy who is really, really tough. His ECW character was a lot more fun too for it's comedic virtues. But the WWE wants to push him as the everyday guy underdog, nothing special about him, just will, determination, and a huge heart gets his victories. The bland humble personality is boring as hell, but it's the direction they want to use him in right now.

I'm sorry, but if there's some lower form of jobber than what Spike Dudley is right now, I have yet to see it. The "direction" they're taking with him is that they bring him on TV to bump big in squash matches to help got other wrestlers over. They haven't made even the sligthest attempt to push him since last year.
Guest DrEvil Report post Posted June 18, 2002 True, push was the wrong word, using or exploiting would best describe it.
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted June 18, 2002 I'm ashamed to admit that it took me a while to catch on to the LSD/Acid Drop relationship... But anywho, Spike is going nowhere with his current character. Insanity might be a blessing.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted June 18, 2002 He had his runs with the Tag and European titles. They might not be very long, but I see them as rewards for Spike to doing his job well. He's had more titles in the WWE then Lex Luger. (How weird is that) He gets some wins here and there, and then goes back to jobbing. I was actually surprised they even picked him up, but he works hard so no complaints here.
Guest BlackRainbow1025 Report post Posted June 18, 2002 I dig Spike. He's a tough little guy that'll do anything to get someone over. Sure, he'll never be a big champ, but wrestling needs guys like him. I do wish he'd be crazy again. I'd love to see him take out Bradshaw for the Hardcore title and stand on him while beating his chest, classic LSD.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted June 18, 2002 I want to see Spike Dudley, show the Hardy Boys the true meanning of Extreme. Maybe have matches that would result in Spike hitting the Acid Drop off a ladder landing on a table setup on the outside. Maybe its time to start Dudleys (Spike & Bubba) vs Hardys again
