CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2007 Ah yes, the worst Vegas advice ever given: Don't gamble. Don't drink too much. Don't go to strip clubs. This is the best advice I can give you if you don't want to go broke as well as not getting yourself in trouble somehow (alcohol, you know?) Shit, you might as well go to Salt Lake City with that advice.
spman 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2007 Go figure. My trip to Vegas was pretty good, I think I might have enjoyed it more though without my old man, but there's always next time. The best advice I can give is don't stay for longer then 3 days, there simply isn't enough to see to make staying that long worth it, at least not for free. All the casino's are essentially the same, I actually thought New York New York and Luxor were the most interesting amongst them. If you're going to see a show, I definitely recommend Penn and Teller, they were outstanding. As far as gambling goes, I just stuck to the slots, as the table games all have their own set of rules and etiquette and although most Casino's do offer lessons as certain scheduled times, I just didn't bother. With the slots, if you're afraid of losing money then don't bother because that's inevitably what's going to happen. Always quit while you're ahead, even if it's just a little bit. I definitely want to go back, maybe next year, but I think I had my fill for the 5 days I was there in July.
