Guest sephjnr Posted February 15, 2002 Report Posted February 15, 2002 Simply put: Given the FWA's recent rise in popularity over MY side of the water, would anyone over in the states feel like coming over to Blighty to see a rasslin' show, if a promotion got some good reviews?
Guest Jubuki Posted February 15, 2002 Report Posted February 15, 2002 I have a couple of FWA shows on tape; I wasn't terribly thrilled with it, but it was a far cry better-looking than the local indy (NWA-Wildside). I would, however, recommend that everyone get a hold of as much Doug Williams as possible. Always count on England for one super-good carny-as-fuck motherfucker every generation. I was impressed he could make Nova look 1/10th as good as he did. I also wouldn't have minded to have seen the match with Chris Daniels that just took place.
Guest filthyfish666 Posted February 20, 2002 Report Posted February 20, 2002 Which part of Doug do you plan on getting a hold of? But seriously Doug Williams is one of the best Britain has to offer (just ask Dave Meltzer), and anyone who didn't see his match with Chris Daniels, or his matches at Revival should hang their head in shame/rush out and buy copies of them now.
Guest Jubuki Posted February 21, 2002 Report Posted February 21, 2002 As much FOOTAGE as possible. And there's a little issue of PAL to NTSC conversion that slows things down, usually.
Guest Vyce Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Considering I'm a wrestling junkie, yes, I would watch a British fed. Put it on cable TV, and I'm there.
Guest Dace59 Posted February 22, 2002 Report Posted February 22, 2002 Brit Wrestling rules </Brit Mark Out> Got a mate that wrestling in the English Fed K-Star, been to a few shows, really good.
