Fan Boy - What the fuck does this mean? I heard it on Mallrats. Does it just pertain to comic book people or what? Worst. (Insert Thing Here). Ever. - Okay I know WHAT this means, but what does it derive from? Who or what was the originator of this phrase?

Also the nickname of a character in Kevin Smith's movies (Steve Dave's sidekick). Worst. Episode. Ever.: a quote from the Comic Book Guy in The Simpsons when he was once bitching about the Itchy & Scratchy episode that Homer starred in. Has been used since to make fun of nitpicking fanboys.
