Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted July 17, 2002 So Dorothy and heather have got a little Alliance going on here, eh? I think they'll get rid of Al.

Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted July 17, 2002 I think Heather will win, just by the way the editing has gone.
Guest starvenger Report post Posted July 17, 2002 Well, from the way they put things, it seems that Heather and Al still think that Dorothy MAY be the Mole, whereas Dorothy KNOWS that Bill is the Mole. Al has played well enough to win, but he'll probably be gone next week. And I'm still calling for my yellow sista to take the pot...

Guest starvenger Report post Posted July 24, 2002 And then there were two. At this point you'd have to assume that all three know who the Mole is, so... who's gonna win it? I gotta say that speed is the major factor here, and it could be a matter of seconds that make you the loser as opposed to the winner. If it came down to a vote then I'd say that Dorothy played the game the best, but Heather hasn't done a bad job either - and she made it through without getting ANY exemptions. I can't wait until next week, and then... I guess I'll have to wait until Amazing Race 3 starts.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 24, 2002 The general consenus from myself and my friends whom also enjoy this vastly better Reality show is that Bill is clearly the mole and Heather, the soon to be married female will leave victorious.

Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted July 24, 2002 Yeah, I agree Bill is the mole. I have though so since the beggining. I'm not sure if Heather of Dorothy will win though. And BTW, I don't think Heather is getting married. I'm pretty sure they broke up.

Guest MDH257 Report post Posted July 24, 2002 The Mole has to be Bill. I don't think the producers would have a woman be The Mole two seasons in a row. Too bad there won't be a season three. Even if there were, Anderson wouldn't be the host.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted July 24, 2002 I think Bill is the Mole, with Dorothy winning, athough they could pull the SWERVE~! on us and the Mole could be Heather (don't ask me why). Nice to have a reality show that makes you think for once.
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted July 25, 2002 And then there were two. At this point you'd have to assume that all three know who the Mole is, so... who's gonna win it? I gotta say that speed is the major factor here, and it could be a matter of seconds that make you the loser as opposed to the winner. You're right that both non-moles will probably who the mole is, but that doesn't mean it will necessarily come down to speed. The questions on the final quiz are very tough. In the first season of The Mole, I think the winner got 16 out of 20 right, and the runner-up got 14, and they both were quite sure who the mole was.
Guest starvenger Report post Posted July 25, 2002 Actually, the final 3 (Steve, Jim and Charlie) all knew who the Mole was (Kathryn) so for them it came down to who was slowest - plus I think that Steve and Jim threw just enough misdirection at Charlie to mess him up. The entire concept of the "coalition" was created since from about Day 2 Steve and Jim decided to team up and pretend to be the Mole - that and they knew Kathryn was the Mole very early on. Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted July 25, 2002 Yeah but you have to answer the questions correctly, and the final quiz has questions from all the way back to the first episode.

Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted July 26, 2002 Actually, the final 3 (Steve, Jim and Charlie) all knew who the Mole was (Kathryn) so for them it came down to who was slowest - plus I think that Steve and Jim threw just enough misdirection at Charlie to mess him up. In a way. Steven convinced Jim to go as fast as he could on the final quiz. As a result, Jim missed a couple of questions that Steven got right, giving Steven the money. The entire concept of the "coalition" was created since from about Day 2 Steve and Jim decided to team up and pretend to be the Mole - that and they knew Kathryn was the Mole very early on. Charlie knew it was Kathryn from Day 1, and was the one who actually told Steven (the other cop) that she was the mole. Steven then told Jim. Charlie lost because the other three always hung out together, and he didn't know the answers to any of the questions.
Guest Army Eye Report post Posted July 26, 2002 Actually, the final 3 (Steve, Jim and Charlie) all knew who the Mole was (Kathryn) so for them it came down to who was slowest Um.. no, again it's not just about speed. Some of the questions are tough to get even if you know who the mole is. They ask about some pretty obscure stuff. That's what is IMO the biggest advantage of the 'coalition', not so much figuring out who the mole is together (personally I would not enter any coalition until I was pretty sure who the mole was), but sharing all the little tidbits of info about the mole you pick up along the way. Guest Army Eye Report post Posted July 26, 2002 Why won't there be a season 3? They haven't said one way or the other yet
Guest MDH257 Report post Posted July 26, 2002 Why won't there be a season 3? They haven't said one way or the other yet Well this show was supposed to air on Friday nights last fall, but got pulled off the air after 3 weeks due to low ratings with a promise that it would eventually air. Now it's on opposite "American Idol" on FOX. I'm not sure how the ratings are, but the media would have us believe that American Idol has "captivated America". So I'm assuming it has more viewers (or at least more young viewers). ABC pulling it off the air last fall is why I assumed it wouldn't be back. Hopefully they'll bring it back next summer. But, Anderson Copper has signed with CNN. So I know he won't host season three. It's too bad because he's one of the best parts of the show.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 27, 2002 Most likely it won't...Although it's ratings are decent, there's not enough push for it. Maybe as a Midseason replacement or Summer Return.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted July 27, 2002 ABC has said that Cooper is signed for Season 3 if they have it, despite the fact that he joined CNN after Mole 2 was pulled in the fall. There is a decent chance that there will be another one next summer.

Guest starvenger Report post Posted July 29, 2002 Well, if it gets put on a Friday again, you know that they're expecting it to get cancelled. ABC should've stuck with the 'TGIF' concept - at least they were appealing to an audience that was actually AT HOME on Friday nights...

The TGIF stuff is one of the reason this show died in the Friday slot. ABC has been showing 'TGIF' crap on Fridays for so many years that everybody above the age of 12 has been conditioned to not even bother looking on ABC on Friday nights. They couldn't have have picked a more incorrect time slot for The Mole.
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted July 30, 2002 So is tonight the final episode, or do they have 2 more?
Guest starvenger Report post Posted July 30, 2002 Tonight is the 1-hour final episode. No word on whether they'll have a reunion special or not.
Guest MDH257 Report post Posted July 30, 2002 If it like last year here is what will happen. The final quiz will be at the end of tonight' show, but we won't find out the results. Next week we will see the results of the final quiz and the identity of the mole. The last 45-50 minutes of the show will be a reunion show where all the contestants are reunited and the mole will tell us which parts of the game they sabotged and how. We'll see footage they never showed us because it would have given too much away and the hidden clues they supposedly left in every episode.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Report post Posted July 30, 2002 Yup. The mole is Bill. There's a crazy but pretty damn accurate clue at reality news online. I hope they swerve us though.
