Guest swan Report post Posted June 19, 2002 credit: www.chicagowrestling.com "Myers said Curt Henning's cameo was made possible by an interview Henning is doing with Lisa Pradi. Myers said part of the interview will reveal that Henning still is under WWE contract. "He's not fired," Myers said." Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted June 19, 2002 Maybe he's just "on the bench". Basically, he's still under contract and being paid by WWE, but because of what happened, he's being punished by not doing shows, yet he can't sign with anyone because he's still under contract til it runs out. Similar to what they did to Chyna when negotiations broke down.
Guest Report post Posted June 19, 2002 Isn't Hennig on the NWA PPV tonight? He can't be signed to the WWE anymore then..

Guest swan Report post Posted June 19, 2002 Isn't Hennig on the NWA PPV tonight? He can't be signed to the WWE anymore then.. Nope. I looked at the lin-up for tonight and didn't see his name nor have I ever heard him being involved with the NWA. He was with the XWF when they first started last fall. http://www.nwatna.com/news/05/20/59.shtml
Guest swan Report post Posted June 19, 2002 chicagowrestling.com reports on just that, chicago wrestling. They don't make-up news and rumors like most sites do. They stick to what they know. Henning was in town doing an interview and made an unannounced apperence during a Road Warriors match. He went on his own and was not paid. PL Meyer's is a manager and part owner of PCW where Henning showed up and just stated something that was said in the interview. I Fear Hogans Air Guitair, how do you know he was fired? Are you an insider. When it comes down to it nobody here knows anything.

It would look better for them if they spelled Hennig's name correctly
Guest Smeghead Report post Posted June 20, 2002 I'm pretty sure WWE.com said that Hennig was released following the "flight from hell". I don't know why they would lie about something like that. It seems pretty stupid. I'm going out on a limb here, but maybe it's just an angle. TAKA Michinoku did something similar in his promotion.
Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted June 20, 2002 This doesn't really have an impact to anything for me. If he does still work for the WWE, he will never be on television again so it doesn't matter, if he goes somewhere else, I will never see him so that doesn't matter either. His best is past him anyway, so let us remember his Intercontinental title reign days.
Guest LesnarLunatic Report post Posted June 20, 2002 Actually, he was fired five years ago, but nobody bothered to tell him and he kept getting paychecks.
