Guest Cataclysm911 Report post Posted June 20, 2002 Maybe the thread would catch on better if you removed the picture. It is somewhat uncalled for. My least favorite moment in WWE/WWF history would either be Mae Young stripping/giving birth to a hand or Vince McMahon winning the Royal Rumble.

Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted June 20, 2002 Stephanie's comments on the post-9/11 Smackdown, equating it with her father being 'attacked' by the federal government. Raw is Owen/Over the Edge PPV: They continued the PPV when they shouldn't have, and the show the next night was the lamest tribute ever. They continued the crappy storylines rather than 'wrestling for owen', and the fact that they said that they would 'never forget', yet have, is just... well, sickening. I never heard anything about this, would you care to elaborate to perhaps inform me of the situation?
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted June 20, 2002 She was talking about how the WWF came back after people tried to take away her father's company. It was during those promos that everyone cut, including Bradshaw saying that we needed to turn Afghanistan into a parking lot.

I have to agree about that they should of stopped the Show and the tribute did really suck aswell but atleast they had a ten bells salute thing.

Other than that either Mae Young incident was sick why couldn't she just retire with dignity?

Sure the PPV should have been stopped, but RAW is Owen was a nice tribute, IMHO. It surely could have been worse. Stoylines were not advanced on that night, otherwise, Austin would have been bitching about jobbing to Taker. They only even mentioned it once throughout that whole night. Guest BlackRainbow1025 Report post Posted June 20, 2002 Yeah, I was at that RAW after Over the Edge. No storylines were advanced. The entire show was people telling their Owen stories with a few matches that had no significance, other than Jeff Jarrett winning what would've been Owen's IC Title with the Sharpshooter. Yeah, I was scared shitless when I was little by the Savage snake thing. It didn't help that they kept flashing a giant red X across the screen to make me want to look at it. That was fucked up right there.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 20, 2002 Test's IC title reign. Test's tag title reign. Test's Euro title reign. Test's Harcore title reigns.

That was fucked up right there. Jarrett didn't win the belt that night. Godfather was still champion and him and Roaddog had that tasteless Tribute about them smoking weed and remembering Owen. Jarrett beat Test that night with the Sharpshooter.

Guest chirs3 Report post Posted June 20, 2002 I disagree on the Owen tribute thing. Whether they should have stopped the PPV, I don't know, I see merit in letting it go on and in stopping it. But the tribute show was good. They DID drop most storylines, and they broke kayfabe which always scores points with me. Ross shilling "We're dropping all our storylines. Tonight we celebrate and remember the life of Owen Hart." just struck something in me, and despite being in character, Austin's salute had a certain charm to it. I thought that Raw was pretty darn good.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Report post Posted June 20, 2002 Pat Patterson's poop-stain stink face on Rikishi. nWo's return. Hogan getting a fireball in the face from Sgt. Slaughter leading up to WM7. That haunted me as a kid just as bad as the Savage/cobra thing. Vince's Kiss My Ass club. Val Venis' castration by Kaientai.
