I heard he was going to awhile ago. He can act and he can do good "crazy" looks when needed. So i'm happy with the choice.

He denied it in an interview the other day. Obviously that could mean several things, but it hasn't been reported anywhere else. It sounds good, and could be true. Sam does good work, but I think imdb might be jumping the gun a little bit.

It looks like there is gonna be a ton of Elektra in the DareDevil movie.

This is all rumor at this point. There's nothing definitive supporting him being cast.

 

But if he is, than this is VERY good. He'd make a fantastic Doc Ock. It shows they're casting for talent, instead of just taking "name" actors *coughbatmanforeverwithjimcarrey, batmanandrobinwitharnoldcough* and inserting them into the role.

I agree. I've noticed that the recent Marvel movies seem to be following this trend, although Blade and Daredevil are really just vanity projects for Snipes and Affleck.

 

wrt Daredevil, they'd better have a good costume for everyone's favourite trained assassin (and template for Psylocke, Shi, et al) Elektra, because DD's and Bullseye's suck. Michael Clarke Duncan, however, DOES fit the Kingpin "look" well - although it does take a bit of getting used to a black Kingpin.

Daredevil's outfit looks cool, Elektra's looks nothing like the comic but its Jennifer Garner so I'm not complaining

I was under the impression that there would be no doctor Octopus in the next Spiderman.

 

Who is the "they" that will say someone is being racist? Hasn't Kingpin been white for 30 years (or whenever the hell they first introduced him to the comics)?

Possibly. But I doubt it. There's a difference between saying "he's not black in the comic" and "he shouldn't be black, ever".

I'm looking forward to Daredevil, and I've never read a DD comic. It's probably just Spidey-Mania, and all that. I also seem to be the only person on-line who likes Ben Affleck.

 

As for Doc Ock, the IMDB goes by rumors sent in by people like you and me until something is official (i.e. Bruce Campbell was once listed as playing the Scorpion on their Spider-Man page).
