Guest AssDroid! Posted June 20, 2002 Report Posted June 20, 2002 I remember on the old Smarks message board there was a thread where we would post our own obscure wrestling references in tribute to Wade and the gang. I'll start us off. It's 1:30 here and I'm watching TV Land. The Rockford Files is on and the lead character, Jim Rockford, has the same name as the WWF's own Jim Ross. How cool is that? Want proof that wrestling has achieved mainstream acceptance? I was at my local super market yesterday and they were selling beer. The same stuff Steve Austin used to drink after his matches!

This topic should be fun.
Guest AM The Kid Posted June 21, 2002 Report Posted June 21, 2002 I saw a redneck walking down the street yesterday wearing an Austin 3:16 shirt, just like Stone Cold used to do!
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted June 21, 2002 Report Posted June 21, 2002 I saw a man with alot of body hair, just like Albert!
Guest razazteca Posted June 21, 2002 Report Posted June 21, 2002 this morning I saw a man throw the neighbors trash cans around the street just like Duke Drose use to.
Guest Ace309 Posted June 22, 2002 Report Posted June 22, 2002 The other day, I saw a poster for a movie called The Scorpion King... but THE ROCK was on it!
Guest JHawk Posted June 22, 2002 Report Posted June 22, 2002 I flipped into UPN last night, and this show came on that had a wrestling ring and some guys in tights doing wrestling moves! I'll have to check and see if it's on every week!
Guest The Czech Republic Posted June 22, 2002 Report Posted June 22, 2002 Okay guys, this was in my world history book. There was an ancient Germanic tribe called the Angles and along with the Jutes and Saxons, they invaded the island of Britain. Can you believe a whole tribe named themselves after our Olympic Gold Medallist?
Guest LesnarLunatic Posted June 22, 2002 Report Posted June 22, 2002 Did the Angles chant "Annnnngle! Annnnnngle!"?
