That's still bogus if you ask me ... 3-Disc sets for both Kane & Edge , but Perfect had only 2 discs. WTF!

Even though Perfect definately needed at least three, I think at this stage in his career, with the matches he has been in a 3 Disc set is definately warranted. Kane, as much as I like him, I can't think of three discs of must have or compelling matches. I don't even want to get into all the segments - Katie Vick, The Courtship/Rape of Lita, May 19th...

The Kane dvd just needs to be Kane and whoever else just speaking normal and telling stories about matches and gimmicks. If they do a best of Kane dvd and totally kayfabe it, which I'm sure that's what they're doing, it's most likely gonna suck.

The Edge dvd I'm kinda torn on. I want it but I don't think I want it right away, same thing with the Kane dvd.

The Eddie Guerrero dvd on the other hand...I wish it was out right now. I've been thinking about watching the "Cheating death and stealing life" dvd, but I kinda feel it's really to depressing to watch all the way through.

Don't forget the "New & Improved DX" DVD; six months of content somehow warranted a three-DVD set.

That set sold an insane number of copies so I'd say it was an intelligent decision to make it 3 discs, even if the general smartmark fanbase hated it.

Hmmm. Interesting for the earlier matches, but like the WWE Championship set, has a ton of widely available material repeated here. Seeing this match listing doesn't make me want to buy this one immediately, I'm afraid. Maybe a used copy down the line.

A lot of those matches on the 2000's disc aren't craptastic.

Are you talking about the booking of the belt?

Essentially, yes. The belt hasn't meant much since the Rock lost it in '98. It's had spurts where the wrestlers holding the title were good (Jericho, Benoit, Angle, etc.) but the belt itself and the feuds surrounding it have had little promotional impact.

Perhaps this is just me, but if I'm going to sit down and watch a DVD of old matches, it's more about about reliving the moments (Warrior squashing Honkey, Bulldog winning in Wembley, etc.) than seeing a solid *** match. I feel little nostalgia for anything thrown out there on Disc 3.

I don't think Glen Jacobs is a bad worker by any means, but I'd be much more entertained by a DVD recapping all the horrible gimmicks and angles he's been invovled in than a DVD full of his matches. Add stuff like Kane Prime, Fake Diesel, Issac Yankem and The Christmas Creature WWE sure as hell would have my cash.

Lawler's Memphis promotion, USWA (that's what it was right?). Lawler dressed him up in Christmas decorations, seriously.

The title of the DVD would lead me to believe that it won't address any gimmicks prior to Kane. I just hope they don't attempt to present a WWE Films depiction of his "disturbed" childhood.

Lawler also ribbed him on commentary for that gimmick when Kane got wrapped in tinsel or something in a backstage skit for a Christmas Night RAW a few years back, saying "He looks like some sort of... Christmas Creature!".

For more than ten years, Kane has cut a fiery swath of destruction through World Wrestling Entertainment. Whether cheered or booed, Kane has been one of the most popular superstars of WWE, battling his brother Undertaker, fighting the equally deranged Mick Foley, and countless other battles against Edge, Matt Hardy, Triple H, Big Show, Shawn Michaels, and more. He has held both the WWE and ECW championships. Now, for the first time ever, fans can purchase The Best of Kane, a 3-DVD set that collects the greatest matches in the Big Red Monster's history.

So, I was in Moviestop this afternoon and came across this gem for the reasonable price of $8.99!!!!

Finally have one of my grails, and IMO, the pinnacle of The Attitude Era on DVD (already had the official VHS release)!

And I thought I got a good deal paying $30 for it new on Ebay a few months ago.

I got mine for $11 dollars back in March. Now I basically have all the documentary DVDs, all the WWF era (pre-mid 2002) PPV DVDs that were released and about a third of the post-2002 PPVs.

I don't think I've paid more than $40 for a single WWE DVD set. And that includes the complete Rumble and Summerslam Anthologies. Gamestop (when they had DVDs) was one of my best places to find DVDs cheaply but they're all getting rid of their DVDs. And there are no Moviestops around either.

I went and bought my first WWE DVD in years (the last was Bret's). It's the HIAC DVD. HIAC is my favorite gimmick match so hopefully I made a good purchase. I'm a little miffed as to why they didnt include Taker/Edge though - I guess it may have been impossible.

About as bad as I expected it to be. I like Kane, but his career hardly justifies a three-DVD set dedicated to it. However, I hope WWE continues this recent trend of career-in-review DVDs like Kane's, Eddie Guerrero's, etc., as it keeps the door open for a potential Owen Hart DVD down the line.

There's some decent matches in there, but no classics. I am a Kane mark though, so I will pick it up at some point. Sadly missing is his two really good TV matches against Albert and Kurt Angle in 2001, and the title vs. mask match with Triple H. The Benoit ban hurts here as well, cause Kane had his best ever match with him at Bad Blood 2004 in my opinion.
