What Russo Trait Are You Eager To Welcome Back?

Recommended Posts

Guest LesnarLunatic

Is it the trait of 'short matches'? the trait of jobbing the Undertaker to a B-movie actor? The trait alot of nudity? Billy Gunn's push?

or you eager to welcome back Russo's unibrow?

I wanna welcome back the Vince Russo who never showed up on TV. ;-)

I could take Russo jobbing to Tajiri....

but you all know this is leading towards the WCW Invasion, don't you?

The one where he got all the internet marks (I refuse to call them smarks or anything inferring that they're smart) into a tizzy over his writings - the way he pushed younger guys and such (once Benoit gets a push, you KNOW he's going to be praised all out). Yeah, just basically when all the anti-Russo marks jump ship and start praising him again. Can't wait.

I hope Vince Russo brings back Wrestlecrap worthy angles, matches, and gimmicks.

I hope Vinnie Ru brings back his scintillating oratory skills complete with insultingly stereotypical Noo Yawk accent. Oh, and his oft-overlooked wrestling acumen. I mean, he is a former World Champion, no?

in all seriousness the one good thing he did was give everybody some kind of identity. unfortunately most of the time, the new personality was bad, but at least he tried to get more people involved. As bad as Russo can be he would never saddle more than one person with a gimmick that consists of being on a losing streak like the writes did with Storm and Chrisitian

Amen. Even the friggen cruiserweights had identities (3 Count, Yung Dragons, etc.) and EVERYONE got TV Time. Anything that gets guys like Christian and Storm, TV Time and personalities is damn well fine by me.

I mean, give me one example how Jim Duggan could be hated by a American crowd that popped for him for over 15 years..The answer? Relegate him to a janitor, then turn him Canadian.

Gold, I tell ya.

I love his ability to completely alienate the wrestling fanbase by telling us what we like and don't like.

I didn't like his work in WCW but i'm going to give him a chance to do something for the wwe. i hope he can deliver and get the ratings back up and at the same time improve the product. he has more talent to work with then ever before so hopefully he won't be booking all kinds of shit on pole matches now.

What else but worked shoots??

Come on....who's not looking forward to the moment where Triple H is about to battle the NWO when they all stop what they are doing and re-enact the MSG incident?

J.R. "BUH GAWD THEY ARE BREAKING THE SCRIPT...THIS IS NOT PART OF THE SHOW. THE KLIQ IS BACK TOGETHER. THEY ARE ALL REALLY FRIENDS. DAMN THEM ALL TO HELL."

Or, how about when Jericho and Rock are in the ring cutting promos on each other when all of a sudden they stop what they are doing and start trashing Triple H for all his backstage politics?

J.R. "BUH GAWD.....JERICHO AND ROCK ARE SHOOTING ON TRIPLE H....THIS IS NOT PART OF THE STORYLINE. THIS IS REAL. ROCK AND JERICHO REALLY HATE TRIPLE H, NOT EACH OTHER. DAMNIT!"

And everyone will be given the Shawn Michaels "gimmick" where they will "shoot" on people they don't like anytime they are given the mic.

J.R. "BUH GAWD....MIKE CHIODA JUST CALLED EARL HEBNER A DECREPIT OLD LIAR WHO IS HOLDING HIM BACK FROM BEING SENIOR OFFICIAL. IT DOESN'T GET ANYMORE REAL THAN THIS."

I'm going to have to go with storylines. The WWE lacks them right now, but Vince Russo should help the situation.

Well, since you are making me pick just one, I'll go with the tranvestites. I mean are there really any other logical choices?

Um, Russo managed to avoid getting both the Hardys and Edge & Christian over---something WWF pulled off QUICKLY after he left.

Odd, huh?

He'll shake things up and liven the product a little. Any news on what show he'll write for (or both)?

I mean, who doesn't love Russo?

One thing I will so for Russo is that he has tried to push younger talent. Hopefully that won't change. Hopfully Russo will be part of the team and not run the whole thing like WCW. Heyman had a lot of good ideas in ECW and I hope he still gets to contribute.

I want more angles that assault the majority of the crowd's spiritual beliefs. ((although, humor aside, if Russo turns UT into the Dead Man again, I will become one of his internet fanboys))

I also await feuds over wrestlers' fake relatives and friends dying, because death is funny.

Heel/Face turns one month apart a la Big Show in 1999! NO ONE had a clue until the Bossman angle whether to cheer him or not.

I remember, I think it was in either may or june of wcw in 2000, new blood/millionaires club angle...there must have been a turn a show with run ins in EVERY match... It was disgusting. And then there was Great American Bash. Yeah, Gimmicks make for GREAT matches! Considering about 8 out of 9 matches on the card was just stupid gimmick after stupid gimmick, I was just befuddled to find out that the buyrates were poor.

One more thing. TITLE CHANGES! YAY~! I think there should be a pool taken to see how many times every title switches hands. Tag team titles, AT LEAST, 11 times this year. Crusierweight, well, I will be generous and say 27, the World Title 19, IC 56, and the Euro title a ungodly 1235 times.

Se7en anyone? I am counting the days before Golddust becomes Dustin Runnels... the preachin, teachin, son-of-a-beechin, black wearin, holy bible swearin, american dream tearin, FACE/HEEL/NOT OVER AT ALL again!

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Russo has been working for the Wwf since Royal Rumble (since I remember a good amount of people saying, including myself, "Is Russo back?") and they are only telling us now because they have an angle planned with Russo and Vince, or Hogan and Russo, or Russo and reality.
