What's Donair? It it anything like cock?

;)

I live in New Haven, CT, which OWNS NEW YORK CITY as far as pizza is concerned. Try Sally's, Pepe's, Modern (which I personally don't like but is very popular around here), Abate's, Amato's, or BAR.

...although I must admit when I was in film school I had a Monday Night Wrestling ritual consisting of a large Papa John's (with mushrooms, olives, and jalapenos) and a 6 pack of Miller High Life. Pay Per Views we'd break out the Chinese beer and have homemade food.

Yeah, I gained a lot of weight in school. :)

It's good. A little thin if you're used to stout or real ale, but tasty nonetheless, especially super cold. Try "Red Dragon" Lager.

Donair is like a big chunk of something like beef, with spices in it to add flavour, stuck on a big stick and slowly rotated in front of heat.

It's then cut off in chunks, and a type of sauce is added.

I think it's lebanese, or greek, or something. In some areas, they're called gyros, but that's gay.

Big chain pizza favorite for me is Papa John's.

My favorite type is something me and friends developed working at a local pizza place.

Spicy Chicken-Take a shell, put tabasco on it instead of sauce, then put on cut up pieces of grilled chicken and top with Monterey jack cheese. Best Pizza EVER!!

BBQ Chicken-Same premise as the spicy only sub BBQ sauce for tabasco. For best results use Bull's Eye BBQ sauce, or maybe JR's...never tried it though.

Wow, that sounds alright.

Metal Maniac: thanks for the info! That stuff is tasty, I used to eat a lot of gyros myself. It's pretty scary actually looking at the rotating meat spit though, especially at the end of the day.

Grenouille: If there is a Bertucci's (it's a chain, but I've only ever seen one, if that makes any sense) near you, they make a ROCKING BBQ Chicken pizza. I forget what arcane Italian name they give it but I used to get it all the time.

Sbarros and Pizza Hut are completely nasty, but the champ has to be Kirkland Pizza. That's right, the pizza concession inside Costco. I find myself getting a slice every time I go there just to remind myself how good I have it. :)

blah, fast foos pizza sucks. Everyone knows famous ray's in NYC is the best pizza in the world. As for the poconos, Rozinas in East Stroudsburg makes a damn fine pizza and if your by middletown NY, there is a woodstove pizza place by the gallaria mall that is off the charts (The name escapes me now)

1. Local delivery pizza...usually bigger, greasier, and just all around better.

2. Pizza Hut stuffed crust pizza

3. Papa Gino

4. Papa John's

Domino Pizza SUCKS. It is awful. Why anyone would order their crap is beyond me.

I can eat any kind of pizza. My favorite is this local dump called z-place. The only thin crust I can tolerate, and it's always served hot enough to burn the holy hell out of your mouth. Plus it cost like five bucks for a gargantuan pie.
