Guest zacalex919130 Report post Posted June 20, 2002 This feud between Macho Man and The Ultimate Warrior started when Macho Man sent out Sensational Sherri to ask The Ultimate Warrior to give the Macho Man a title shot. Warrior said no. During the Warrior-Sgt. Slaughter match at Royal Rumble '91, Macho Man came down and beat up Warrior when the referee was knocked out. Slaughter then pinned him and won the WWF Heavyweight title. That's how the Macho Man-Warrior feud started. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Guest Drury37 Report post Posted June 20, 2002 The WWF never really said what happened when Savage didn't go down during the 1991 WWF Royal Rumble,but everyone just figured that the Ultimate Warrior either chased Savage out of the arena or the Warrior wouldn't let Savage out of his locker room. I know I attended a house show that was supposed to be headlined by Slaughter/Savage for the WWF Title, but Savage was hurt legit, so they changed it to a Slaughter/Warrior rematch. I was thinking that since Ax was about done, they could have just stuck Savage in there for him, and the match would have been a lot better all around.
