Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 20, 2002 I was watching the Croc Hunter on discovery last night and during the show I saw a commercial for the new Crocodile Hunter movie, subtitled "Collision Course". I have to admit that I am a huge Steve Irwin fan so I know I'll be seeing this movie as soon as it get released. Anyone else seen a preview yet?
Guest C.H.U.D. Report post Posted June 21, 2002 I've seen a couple in the theatre, including when I saw Windtalkers on Saturday. The first one I saw was pretty funny, where he stands infront of the MGM lion logo and talks about how boring it must be for the lion to stand in the same spot for 80 years and the Lion stars listening to him and agreeing. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 21, 2002 The movie looks and sounds like it will be horrible...and not in the good way. He somehow gets involved with the FBI for some reason. Guy from a show about animals in a movie where he becomes an undercover man for the FBI. Excuse me while i get me one them Men In Black mind erasers thingies so i will never think of this "movie" agane.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted June 21, 2002 I hope Croc Hunter movie will be better than Crocodile Dundee in LA.
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted June 21, 2002 No Satanico, that's not it. A crocodile in Australia accidentally swallows a billion-dollar spy satellite that has crashed on earth. The government sends agents to hunt down the croc and get it back, but the Croc Hunter mistakes them for poaches, and takes the croc on a cross-country adventure to rescue it. It actually looks like it might not suck too horribly.
Guest C.H.U.D. Report post Posted June 21, 2002 In the case of a movie like this, it's pretty simple. If you like Steve Irwin, chances are you will go see the film and enjoy it. If you dislike him, you would be a complete idiot to spend money on the film. It ain't brain surgery kids.
Guest franchise632 Report post Posted June 21, 2002 Is anyone else still waiting for the day when a croc gets a hold of Steveo's arm or leg and make him half the man he used to be? I would hate to see it happen as nothing cracks me up like Steve runnin around like a bafoon on Disc. Ch. As for the movie, I have only seen a big cardboard cut out at the theater. As for the movie, I have only seen a big cardboard cut out at the theater. just every man, woman and child in australia. its amazing how he seems to be popular in america, but here in australia he is just an absolute freakshow and almost a national embrassment. that man does more to stereotype australians as a bunch of crazy rednecks than crocodile dundee ever did! Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 21, 2002 It will probably be cheesy but I have been a Crocodile Hunter fan since the first show I seen of his. I can watch it for hours and hours and I think Steve Irwin is a really cool person, so I can't wait to see him in a movie.

And I don't really care for Irwin, I liked the South Park episode when he was trying to stick his thumb in everything's BUTT.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 21, 2002 Well Jingus i was basically correct. I had the working for the government thing. I just didn't remember the full plot because i was laughing at what a stupid premise the movie is when i saw the preview.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted June 21, 2002 ohh come on. it more believable than a "spider man" for christsakes.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 21, 2002 Your point? believability isn't my biggest priority when going to see a movie. If believability was a concern for me i'd stay home and watch those horrible "reality tv" shows.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted June 22, 2002 I think this should have been made before Crocodile Dundee in LA. At least this is a bit more interesting sounding.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted June 22, 2002 Steve Irwin is Ok in a laughing at kind of way. Since all his lines are scripted in the movie, I don't think it will be as funny as his TV show. On TV he blurts out all kinds of stupid stuff and THAT is the reason I watch the show.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted June 23, 2002 "The Croc Hunter" is one of those shows that if I'm flipping channels and come across it I put the remote down. "The Croc Movie" will be one of those films that I will probably pass right up while browsing through a DVD store.
