Heath Ledger dead

Recommended Posts

CBright isn't even as upset about Heath Ledger's death as BX is upset about him being upset about it.

I just woke up and I don't know if that even made sense, but basically, the guy is being an enormous douche.

As far as the drug video - blah, so he was a junkie hanging out at a posh Hollywood drug party. Color me shocked. Half of your favorite actors/actresses were probably at that party and just didn't make it on camera.

They are going to be talking about this guy for another month, or until another celebrity acts up again, and then they'll cover that 23 hours a day for three weeks. Perhaps my gripe is more with the media, rather then the mental midgets that enables them.

That would be correct. They have more of an effect on people than some would like to think. And I think that the media and their low opinions/expectations of the general public are more at fault for society becoming so dumb and sedated than people in general. They become as dumb as the bullshit they're fed. If the majority of the media had more objective and intelligent discourse rather than the pundit-laden bile that's on TV these days, people and society would be better off for it. And the funny thing about this whole argument we had is that I saw the exact same thing the other day from a recent show segment uploaded to YouTube. Some Fox show was interviewing Montel freakin' Williams (of all the people to talk to this about) and they asked him about Ledger and he was saying the same thing about how it's sad they give so much coverage to the Ledger thing when there are troops that die over in Iraq and how no one reports them or their names (which I agree with). And the interviewer person(s) stated almost exactly that they were just giving the people what they wanted and "feeding the beast." So yeah, I think the media deserves more of the blame. Celeb news can be entertaining and all, but it's way overdone to a sickening degree.

Speaking of Montel Williams, I've read that FOX News was apparently pretty upset with his statements, and that he won't be back on the network anytime soon.

Six different drugs found in Ledger's system...

The medical examiner has ruled that Heath Ledger's death is an "accident," resulting from the "abuse of prescription medications." The drugs found in his system were OxyContin (painkiller), Valium (anti-anxiety), Xanax (anti-anxiety), Restoril (sleep aid), Unisom (sleep aid), and Hydrocodone/Vicodin (painkiller).

Ledger's family released this statement about the news.

We remain humble as parents and a family, among millions of people worldwide who may have suffered the tragic loss of a child. Few can understand the hollow, wrenching, and enduring agony parents silently suffer when a child predeceases them. Today's results put an end to speculation, but our son's beautiful spirit and enduring memory will forever remain in our hearts.

While no medications were taken in excess, we learned today the combination of doctor-prescribed drugs proved lethal for our boy. Heath's accidental death serves as a caution to the hidden dangers of combining prescription medication, even at low dosage.

Our family enjoyed an extremely happy two week visit with Heath just prior to the New Year. Those recent precious days will stay with us forever. We as a family feel privileged to have some of his amazing magic moments captured in film. To most of the world Heath was an actor of immeasurable talent and promise. To those who knew him personally, Heath was a consummate artist whose passions also included photography, music, chess and directing. We knew Heath as a loving father, as our devoted son, and as a loyal and generous brother and friend.

We treasure our beautiful granddaughter Matilda (to our dear Michelle) as well as an unbelievably wonderful network of close friends, forever, around the world. Families rarely experience the uplifting, warm and massive outpouring of grief and support as have we, from every corner of the planet. This has deeply and profoundly touched our hearts and lives. We are eternally grateful.

At this moment we respectfully request the worldwide media allow us time to grieve privately, without the intrusions associated with press and photography.

He was apparently scheduled to have a massage in his apartment this afternoon. Guess he didn’t get the happy ending.

Ladies everywhere have finally found out how to pick up heath ledger...with a stretcher.

They say he is a good actor but Heath Ledger’s last performance was a little stiff.

His latest role was “I’m Not There”. Guess that applies to all his future film releases too.

Heath Ledger took his role in the upcoming Batman movie very seriously. To get into character, he began killing people. He started with himself.

How can Batman defeat the Joker? With a handful of sleeping pills.

What do Jake Gylennhal’s cherry and a bottle of Paxil have in common? They both got popped by Heath Ledger.

Rumor has it that Heath Ledger will be appearing on Inside the Actors Studio next week via Ouija Board.

For Sale: One spare ticket to the world premiere of The Dark Knight.

Production has began on “The Patriot 2.” Heath Ledger will return to play the role of the dead son.
