Prediction - Hogan actually begins aging before our eyes. By the end of the match, he has crippling arthritis and varacose veins.

 

 

Eddy vs. Flair

 

See above, except replace "Angle" with "Eddy". And prey Flair doesn't have his tights pulled, because that usually means we have to see his ass.

 

Prediction - The crowd chants "What?" while Eddy and Flair slap each other on the chest for 20 minutes. It is instantly declared MOTY.

 

 

RVD vs. Jericho

 

Jericho has no purpose on this card, except to do his usual suicidal bumping for Rob. Rob may be winning this thing, but we won't know yet... look for the wildly popular Edge to grant us an apperance.

 

Prediction - Jericho is speared 74 times in the next two months. I feign suprise.

 

 

Brock vs. Test

Prediction - A terrible match, and Test push #7285 ends unsuccesfully.

like I said, two things can happen. If Taker wins, RVD will get a well-timed Rock run-in and become King. If HHH wins, Brock will squash Rob. Either way, the Rock will yet again demonstrate his perplexing loyalty to Vince by letting Brock beat him on PPV.

 

Prediction - in 3 months, no one will be able to remember what happened on this show.

 

 

Molly vs. Trish

 

Good news: making fun of Molly's weight did not have a negative influence on WWE's female audience.

 

Bad news: that's because after all the ass jokes last week, there no longer is a female audience.

 

Prediction - if this were a 3 way with Jazz, Trish and Molly would look good. But without her, the match will be awful. Discuss.

This could be a good match, but instead we will get several close ups of that ugly woman shreiking, and the match will end in 3 minutes

Ok lets start off at the bottom end of the Roster.

 

Both Jamie Knoble and Molly Holly should go over their respected opponents The Hurricane and Trish Stratus. Molly should go over clean, Nidia will help her squeeze defeat Helms.

 

If I were booking I'd have Ric Flair upset Eddie as a run in backfires. I say this as the Flair/Beniot showdown is bound to happen possibly next PPV or Summerslam and you don't want to make Flair look a total wipping boy against everyone. (Yes I know he is 54 but he is one of the top 3 faces on Raw currently)

Give him the shock roll up and allow Eddie to make up for the defeat by beating Flair in a rematch the following night on Raw.

 

Kurt Angle over Hogan, no explanation needed. Hogan should bow out over the summer. His matches are gettin very hard to watch.

 

The King Of The Ring Tournament.

Let the show kick off with a **** match in RVD and Jericho. A fantastic to and through match up that ends up with a roll up and a handfull of tights by RVD. (This is due to Jericho's constant cheating during the match)

 

Later in the night in a backstage vingette, Lance Storm and Christian approaches Jericho to talk to him in private. Then on Smackdown a new Canadian Stable debuts with its intentions to destroy all thats good about America. There you go you have your Hogan/Jericho feud for the summer.

 

Lesner to go over Test in a 4 minute squash. Nothing against Test but the klive crowd don't care for him at the moment and Lesnar chucking a man of Tests size around the ring would certainly impress.

 

The Final, which I think should be left for the final match on the card as I think Taker/HHH will be gawdamn awful. RVD to beat Lesnar as The Rock costs him the match, due to laying out Heyman who was trying to interfere in the match. Rock presents the trophy to RVD, but bad loser Lesnar storms the ring and takes out BOTH RVD and The Rock and smashes the trophy to smitherines.

 

Taker to beat HHH and injure him. HHH returns in a month or two as a bad ass Heel.

 

Simple. None of the above will happen though. Would be cool if it did though.

I think Molly Holly needs the win more than Trish Stratus at this point, so I would pick Molly to take the win and the title, either clean or at least cheating all by herself (foreign object, maybe the belt?)

 

Jamie Knoble will probably beat the Hurricane to justify his quick and early buildup (such as it is). Assuming they want to do something with the cruiserweight division, and/or want a heel for Rey Jr. to beat, look for Nidia to either distract or assault Hurricane to ensure the Noble victory [esp. since 'cane got his mask back this week with his attack and the PPV reciprocity law says "he who shall have the upperhand on the last smackdown before ppv, shall lose on the ppv."] So "Redneck Messiah" Jamie Knoble to win. Unless they plan on forgetting about the division again, in which case Hurricane wins and Noble and Nidia disappear again.

 

Eddie Guererro will probably beat Ric Flair as "consolation" for the rub he was supposed to get from Austin here. Look for Benoit to either help Guererro win, or help him beat the crap out of Flair after the match, which will spawn the Flair/Benoit feud, while Eddie moves on up. Even the the PPV reciprocity law (raw version) goes against them here, I think the Austin-left void is going to trump it here.

 

Kurt Angle vs Hulk Hogan: Oh you know who I hope wins this match. And it actually looks like it might happen. If they are serious about making new stars and phasing out the old, and if they are serious about keeping Angle at the high level, he needs to win this match, or failing that take the "excessive violence" dq someone described earlier, which "puts Hogan out" for a couple of months [so they can bring him back "fresh" for a match with Vince or something]. Angle needs the win more than Hogan and should get it. Hogan got the upper hand on him on the last show before PPV, so the reciprocity law should kick in on Angle's behalf. Angle to win.

 

Test vs Brock Lesnar: of the four semifinalists, Test is the only won I can't realistically see going to Summerslam with a world title shot. Lesnar has a compelling and believable story path, Jericho has a compelling and believable story path (that I mark for and hope for eternally), and RVD has a compelling and believable story path [provided UT retains]. So, Lesnar destroys Test here and goes to the finals.

 

From here on out, it gets a bit tricky.

 

RVD is likely to beat Jericho, so they can have a face vs heel final. RVD is also likely to win out and face The Undertaker for the title at summerslam. If Ut wins, RVD wins, here and against Lesnar. If Triple H wins, RVD still might win here but will be beaten by Lesnar. Jericho might defeat RVD, but it isn't likely with Lesnar waiting in the finals (heel vs heel? Not usually a good idea). Unless Lesnar is going to go down to Jericho's devastating FINGER POKE OF TOTAL DESTRUCTION~! and become his bodyguard/stablemate, I don't see Jericho vs Lesnar at all. And I don't see Test vs anybody.

 

Triple H vs The Undertaker: They could go either way here. The law of PPV reciprocity favors The Undertaker, as Triple H was successful in a "triple H vs the Universe" handicap match on smackdown (again...yawn), beating Billy Gunn and then fending off Billy, Chuck, Rico, Angle, AND the Undertaker. Also, the World Title has been in a musical chairs situation since wrestlemania, and they may want to stop the ride before somebody gets dizzy and falls over and breaks something expensive. RVD's storyline path is contingent on Undertaker remaining champion. Lesnar's storyline path to Summerslam is contingent on Triple H, and Jericho's works much better with Triple H as well. So either way, the King of the Ring Victor is likely going to tell us who the Undisputed World Champion is going to be...unless they decide to go with something deliberately dischordant just to shock us at the expense of good storytelling (Hey, Russo IS back after all...)

 

So:

 

1. If Rvd over Lesnar, then UT over Triple H.

2. If Lesnar over RVD, then Triple H over UT.

3. If Jericho over Lesnar, then Triple H over UT.

Note the slight possibility of an impromptu match where The Rock wins the title with either case #2 or #3.

 

ALSO: Don't be surprised to see Edge "screw" Jericho in the semifinals if RVD wins. Vince McMahon could interfere in either Angle vs Hogan or Triple H vs The Undertaker, but his involvement will probably be limited to another glimpse into his midlife crises as Stacy Kiebler and Dawn Marie either take turns oiling him down (eww) or fighting over him or something equally gratuitous and consuming of valuable time. A Rock run-in in the main event OR the King of the Ring finals is much more likely, assuming The Rock is not made special guest referee for one of those contests...and assuming there isn't a desperate plan to hotshot the world title onto Rocky himself (which, let me clear this up, would NOT bother me. Rock is cool, and more likely to lose at summerslam to Jericho or Lesnar than Triple H, which I would prefer.)
