Beyond The Mat/terry Funk Question

Can anyone explain the angle behind that scene in beyond the mat where a retrospective of funk's career is shown and there's a clip where he's in the ring with heaps of streamers and he keeps chanting forever over and over.

I remember at NTR 95 he started chanting it before the tag match with cactus jack and raven which made me think it had some significance.

I dont have any specifics, but it was obviously in Japan, and Terry and Dory Jr were big over there. He may have just been showing his emotions to the people, and since the majority wouldnt understand a great deal of english, and he was just screaming a word that fit and they would understand.

The match in question was in All Japan Pro Wrestling in 1982. It was Terry and Dory Funk Jr vs Terry Gordy and Stan Hansen. This was Terry's FIRST retirement match as he was considered too old to be able to do too much more (that was the attitude in 1982). The Funks won and Terry's "Forever" speach was his way of saying goodbye and how long the Funk family legacy would last.

Thanks black tiger but i'm slightly confused as to why he starts chanting forever at cactus jack before the tag match at NTR 95, it's what first made me think it had some significance.
