Goal line blitz

Recommended Posts

Changed it up slightly so it didn't look like as bad of an unidentifiable mess when it was resized down to 75x75. I think it works for what it's worth.

The Gators' owner made new players to buff up his defense with some level 4 DE's and LB's.

I don't think it really shows up anywhere, but the stadium name is changable at any time if anybody was interested.

Crap...I accidently hit and confirmed the auto reorder button while half-asleep. Everyone check to see if you're still in the right spot, especially the LB's.

On a side note, I created an emergency DT in the event Hambone Parker's user doesn't pop up soon. And I think it'd be a good idea for everyone to change their attribute sharing option to "Team members can view" so we can strategize accordingly.

I made a punter and don't know what I'm doing.

The above is the extent of my goal line blitz experience.

I can help you with that now, after going through some growing pains with my punter. Just put all of your points into punting, don't bother with the special abilities or anything else. Once your punting is nice and high (like 30-40) then maybe you can put points into the abilities or strength.

Also, that logo looks very nice.

I think we could use some O-Tackles. There should be a list a page or two back with all the people from TSM on the team and the position they play.

Any help you need bro, let us know and we'll explain it

Blarkington, already signed up before I saw your referral link. However, it should be noted that I'm not a bro, bro. lolzpantz.

Gralgstaff Tacklington, currently sans a team is a level 3 OT. Please to sign please?

So I clicked the "tactics" link when viewing our team page and it brought me up to a list of defensive tactics.

Anyone wanna further explain this or is this for my own personal tactics?

It's the percentages that we'll run certain defenses as a team.

what can you do about players who are inactive?

I'll most likely drop them down the roster since a week's worth of gaming is 3 games. I may just drop them all together or try to pawn them off to another team if I don't see any actions from them soon. That said, Dustin Reese is in danger of losing his spot, and I already dropped Hambone Parker down the chart.

Roster Update as of 4-2

Player positions and names in red denote players that may be dropped down the depth chart or cut due to long inactivity. These starting positions can be considered open.

Player positions and names in blue denote starting positions that are open.

Reserve players are welcome in all positions, but realize that your playing time will most likely be reduced (HB, WR, TE, and most if not all defensive positions), severely limited (like G, C and OT), or practically non-existant (especially at QB, K, and P). WR and CB's in non-starting roles will also be considered for kick/punt returns on special teams.

Starting Offense

QB - Geru Ortega (Alaskan Postal Worker)

HB - Vlad Tanker (non-TSM'er)

FB - Bernie Sidwell (Sideburnious)

C - Miguel Guillermo-Sanchez (Ced)

G - Ian Gordon (iggymcfly)

G - Dustin Reese (non-TSM'er)

OT - Slate Fistcrunch (oldskool)

OT - Gralgstaff Tacklington (Angel_Grace_Blue)

TE - Drew "Ironhead" Kincaid (massito)

WR - Chriswok Geordie (chriswok)

WR - Allison Onita (AnnieEclectic)

Starting Defense

LB - Steven Simon (redbaron51)

LB - Hoji Savagebones (IK Cool Jew)

LB - Alex Morgan (UTBroward)

DE - Eric LeBeau (Cartman)

DE - Burner Aurex (non-TSM'er)

DT - Meagan Martin (redbaron51's fiancee)

DT - Elliot Machado (Ced)

CB - Annie Eclectic (AnnieEclectic)

CB - Tony Carlson (CPU - OPEN)

FS - Clay Darden (CPU - OPEN)

SS - Stick Blinker (non-TSM'er)

Special Teams

K - Kris Bager (non-TSM'er)

P - Tobias Fünke (LaParkaMarka)

EDIT: I noticed that some people haven't purchased and/or equipped equipment for their players. Up to +4 to your major attributes is pretty nice and should be taken advantage of.

We lost 9-24 today.

Their first TD was my bad, as I apparently dropped too far back into coverage to make a play on the ball.

They put up 21 points in the 2nd half. Those points are more than likely a result of some of our guys that haven't been bothered to switch their training to "relaxed" to try and get their stamina back up.

Also, playing "hard", burns more stamina and actually keeps you off the field more than it keeps you on. So, any of you that have low stam and the like, please switch your training to relaxed.

I suppose I better start investing a lot of skill points into pass blocking so the QB doesn't get blindsided what with being LT and junk.

Also: Our loss probably is partly due to an offense that has trouble converting third down. But we shall get better. We have the technology!

I love that avatar picture.

Anyways, you might want to check out this player: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=50738

Maybe copy his build, as he's pretty successful. It seems you just need big boosts to Vision and Throwing and you'll be solid.

Also, you should probably buy some equipment for $2000 (in game money). Put it all in Vision or Throwing, it'll be a nice 4 point boost.

That game has humbled us a little, wasn't expecting it to be that one sided at all. Time to read my Randy Moss etiquette book and start blaming everyone around me.

It's pretty rough to see that we got mauled in the fourth quarter after keeping it close until then. Players with low energy should downgrade their training to "relaxed" in order to recover.

Looking at our next opponent, the Cochabamba Pirates, I'm thinking of moving Ian Gordon to left guard to try to exploit their low level DT and DE on that side. I'm also thinking of possibly upping the percentage of runs to the outside in hopes that we run to the left and that Gordon and Guillermo-Sanchez break through the line quick enough to move onto blocking the LBs.

In terms of a defensive strategy, they have a decent QB, HB, and #1 WR, all at level 5. Their QB really likes to throw passes for 8-10 yard gains and their running attack can yield big gains if left unchecked. Their right side has a low level TE and T, so that may be an area we could try to exploit.

If anyone needs a kicker, look up Matt White. I've got him up a few levels recently.

Well, maybe I should put some points into "return specialist" since Annie gets used in Punt and Kickoff returns apparently. With her near 20 speed I'm not surprised but...

Allison Onita is going to have to do better than 1 catch for 3 yards if she's going to stay a starter, ha.

My mentality for kick/punt returners is to get some extra play for WR and CB's to help them level. Maybe I should put Onita into the mix?

Ced or Red:

I updated the Defensive tactics a bit from our last game. Give 'em a look and either PM me, or get at me on AIM with any tweaks you think we should make.
