Guest Pegasus Kid Report post Posted February 16, 2002 With the old "Japan & Mexico" forum deleted, I didn't have a chance to copy and past the "read this and don't forget." Well... I've got some time so I figured I would update it. INFORMATION: http://www.wrestlingobserver.com: I figure every wrestling fan on the net frequents this site, but on the slim chance you don't, head over to this site on a regular basis (usually updated in the late morning/early afternoon). Great site for news. http://www.puroresupower.com: I consider Zach Arnold to be the front runner when it comes to Puroresu news. He tends to update in the week hours because as Zach says "he's on Japan time." http://www.puroresufan.com: Stuart is a NJPW fanatic and it shows in his site. He's on the ball with quick, detailed news from Japan, with an emphasis on New Japan Pro Wrestling. http://hometown.aol.com/WSandT/cards/index.html: If it was a major show, this site has got the match list, who won and who lost. It's an invaluable resource and the first site I look up when I'm tracking down older Dome shows. http://www.deathvalleydriver.com/bbbowm/bbbowm.htm: Every wonder what the hell I'm talking about when I spout off a move name? Well this site will explain it all. http://www.puroresu.com: Come on, look at the URL and ask yourself what this site is all about. The Great Hisa brings loads of information on present day and past Japanese wrestling. Detailed title histories are a personl favourite of mine. MESSAGE BOARDS: http://www.deathvalleydriver.com: The message board is inhabited with loads of people knowledgable in the ways of pro wrestling. If you've got a question, odds are someone on that boad can answer it. http://www.otherarena.com: Lots of forums spanning pretty much the entire spectrum of pro wrestling. I tend to lurk in the "AJPW & NJPW" section more than anywhere else. If you're patient enough, some of the elder Puro fans will unleash long posts full of useful information. http://www.a1wrestling.com: The site seems to be better known for it's main page, which updates whenever the other big sites update. However, the message boards are inhabited by many knowledgable folks; most of whom are friendly and helpful. TAPE REVIEWS: http://www.puroresufan.com: Stuart gets a second nod as he has reviewed more tapes (mostly TV) than anyone else I know (yes, even Scott Keith, BE AFRAID). http://www.quebrada.net: Great stuff from Mike Lorifice. He doesn't update close to as often as in the "old days" but his archives are full of great reviews and information. http://www.deathvalleydriver.com: The DVDVR get a second nod, this time for what they're best known for; great tape reviews. I'm starting to wonder if there has been any pro wrestling on tape that at least one member of the DVDVR hasn't seen. http://www.airraidcrash.com: Chris Coey and I don't get along very well but I do respect his work. From what I understand, he hasn't been around the longest (starting around the same time as many of the "new crop" of Puro writers) but he probably has the best insight into many of the intricacies of Puro. TAPE SITES: http://www.jtapes.com: Zach Arnold's tape division is fast becoming the best place to pick up Puroresu. Dirt cheap ($10 per tape now), with new material (faster than anyone I've seen) coming in all the time. Definitely a good place to blow some money. http://www.highspots.com: From the ashes rises Highspots. Mike has poured god knows how much money into his site to bring it back from the brink of obscrurity. Loads of great material, rock solid prices and fast service. http://www.triplecrowntapes.com: I've been buying tapes from Goofball for quite some time. He's a tad more expensive that the top two sites I've mentioned but his quality and service are top notch. http://www.ultimotapes.com: There is no man who's taken more of my money than Todd Winder. He has slowed down over the last couple of months and he doesn't have close to the selection of Triple Crown or JTapes but his prices are cheap, he's super fast, and the VQ is top notch. http://www.wrestleholicsvideos.com: Alfredo E. is another man who seems to have been resurgent as of late concerning tape selling. He's loaded with Lucha Libre and gets the latest Japan TV blocks in rock solid VQ. He's got great prices and offers lots of package deals. http://www.bobbarnett.com: I figured Bob might kill me if I schill tapes a second time around and don't mention him. I'll put this plain and simple, if you want compilations of TV from Mexico and Japan, head to Barnett. That's about it. If I remember anything else that falls in these criteria, I'll edit the post. Let me make this clear, this is not a place for people to schill their web sites. This post is to help people out who are looking to expand their knowledge of Puro, either through reading information or picking up material from reputable people. I hope this information proves helpful.

Guest CB2M Report post Posted February 17, 2002 Guess i'll add to this [email protected] Jeff Lynch's e-mail adress, doesn't have a web site but still one of the best guys around to buy tapes from I'm surprised this wasn't put in the first post like it was before. I've dealt with a lot of tape dealers, and Jeff is far and away the best. You can't go wrong with a guy who has everything, and gets it back to you quickly. Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted April 14, 2002 Jeff Lynch has never steered me wrong. He has WWF/WCW/ECW/Japan/Indies....the guy has a lot. I often wonder if his walls are made out of full tape shelves.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted April 16, 2002 Well it appears through looking through the sites that the best ones are Triplecrowntapes and Jeff Lynch.
Guest HopeSpot Report post Posted April 18, 2002 http://www.goldenboytapes.com/ Top notch service, good selection, add to that the fact that Rob Hunter is a one of the few dealers who isn't an asshole and you've got your self a great site. http://www.liveaudiowrestling.com/front.asp When you can get Marek and Lovranski to stop talking about the WWF there's magic in the air. Check it out if you're bored.
Guest Muzz Report post Posted September 30, 2002 I'm interested in watching some Puroresu, but living in Australia makes it difficult to get any tapes, could someone suggest an avenue for me to try? Thanks.

Guest DragonflyKid Report post Posted October 13, 2002 Bump! Because it's stupid this thread was replaced. I updated the links when I found new sites and now it's all been for naught.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted October 13, 2002 I don't come into this folder a lot, but I've been told this thread was unpinned due to it being outdated. Just put the links in the new thread and let this one die. I don't want to delete it then have posters pissed. So start putting this stuff into the new thread if you haven't already. Guest DragonflyKid Report post Posted October 13, 2002 This thread never became outdated, the few links that don't work because the sites moved have been updated in later posts. It would have been easier for a mod to delete the few outdated links without having to start a whole new thread.
