"In what has to be the largest undertaking that the National Wrestling Alliance has attempted for as far back as I can recently recall, they are running an event on Saturday 6/7 at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Sid Vicious, who recently worked an NWA Wrestling Showcase TV taping in Rhode Island, is the biggest name announced for the Georgia event thus far. The only other name I've heard is Rob Conway, who's been regularly appearing on the Dish Network's Showcase series that Jon Hewett recaps here on PWInsider.com. Tickets for the event range from $52 down to $17 and there is currently an online pre-sale using password ATLANTA. The show is being designed to launch a 14 month celebration of the National Wrestling Alliance's 60th anniversary. I am under the impression they will be curtailing the venue to fit their means, not opening the entire arena up."

This could be the biggest disaster since UWF's Blackjack Brawl. Philips Arena is a 20,000 seat venue. Sid couldn't sell that out in his prime let alone a decade past it.
