Those are from 1989. Hogan wasn't champ at all in 1988 except for the first month, and Rude didn't win the IC title until WrestleMania V.

Bruno, Kiniski, Gagne.

You really need to post more often

Maybe. Most of the time there is not a lot to add on the topics at least anything I could add.

I got in wrestling much later than the rest of you guys. I watched it off and on through the 90's (mainly WCW) but I didn't become a regular fan until around the time I turned 13, in October 2000 (mainly WWF).

WWF Champion-Kurt Angle

IC-Eddie Guerrero

European-William Regal

Tag Team-Hardyz

Women's-Lita

Hardcore-Steve Blackman

Light-Heavyweight-Dean Malenko

BTW, this coincided with Raw's move to TNN. Angle had just won his 1st major title, the Hardyz/E&C had a ladder match (which was the start of me becoming a huge Hardyz/Lita fan) and the Radicalz had a couple champions.

The first time I ever watched wrestling was the October 11, 1999 Raw.

WWF Champion - Triple H

Intercontinental Champion - Jeff Jarrett (dropped the title to Chyna 6 days later at No Mercy)

WWF Tag Team Champions - New Age Outlaws (I think, and they dropped the belts to Rock & Sock at the SD tapings the next day)

WWF Hardcore Champion - Al Snow (lost the title to Boss Man the next day on SD as well)

WWF European Champion - D'Lo Brown (I'm pretty sure)

WWF Women's Champion - Ivory (lost the belt to Moolah 6 days later at No Mercy)

I started watching WCW a few weeks later when my sister told me there was a wrestling show on TBS on Thursday (I didn't get UPN so I never got to watch SD until the CW debut in 2006). I always watched the the first hour of Nitro on Monday, then switched to Raw, and watched Thunder on Thursday/Wednesday.

Anyway, it was right before the first Mayhem PPV so I think it was something like:

WCW World Champion - Vacant

WCW US & TV Champion - Scott Hall

WCW Tag Team Champions - Harlem Heat or Creative Control

WCW Cruiserweight Champion - Disco Inferno

Started watching ECW on TNN on December 1999

ECW World Champion - Mike Awesome

ECW TV Champion - Rob Van Dam

ECW Tag Team Champions - Impact Players

God am I stupid! Hogan's been champion so many damn times that I forgot he wasn't even champion when I started watching right before Royal Rumble '91! Also, I totally forgot that Beautiful Bobby was still recognized as the TV champion on that Clash show, even though Austin beat him at a TV taping before then. So, here are my edited champs:

Not to derail the topic, but I remember watching Clash 15 and they were showing the vignettes of new wrestlers including The Diamond Studd, Johnny B. Badd, Black Blood, PN News, and Steve Austin. What I thought was weird was that during Clash 15, where Bobby Eaton was still TV champion, they showed Steve Austin with the TV belt during his little segment.

I've seen that Eaton/Flair match dozens of times, and he does not adorn the Television Championship. Austin squashes Joey Maggs earlier in the show, and he is announced as the TV Champ.

I'll defer to you on whether or not Eaton wore the belt, but I am pretty certain that Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone pointed out more than once that only Flair's world title was on the line and Eaton's TV title was not. And I don't think Austin wore the belt for his match. His title win (per Graham Cawthon's site) didn't air until June 29, so Eaton would have still been the champion on TV.

You're right. In the Austin coming attraction video package he is wearing the belt, but not for his Clash match. That's why I am confused. And, for some strange reason, Eaton is still not announced as the champion (and is not listed as the current belt holder in the "Knoxville Notes" stat card).
